Michigan Coaching Speculation

Be careful what you ask for. If UM has no mobile QBs on their roster and RROD takes the UM job and wants to install his system it would seem to present quite the opportunity for a guy like Pryor.
Except for their bball team... UM will struggle for a few years. OSU should be a contender again when pryor arrives in 08.
bucknation....so becasue WVU fans are concerned about our coach possibly leaving, then we dont deserve a good coach? That makes great sense....
Yes, since clearly he was going for an intellectual debate. I do get a kick out of how many are saying 'good riddance' to RichRod. Things could (and likely would) become much worse with another coach, in terms of success.

No way TSUN coughs up the cash for hair plugs Rodriguez.

I don't think cash is the issue but rather that RR has been pretty adamant about staying put. Frankly I'd be pretty shocked if he'd be willing to leave now.

They wouldn't be in this situation if they weren't trying to low ball people.
That's been a widely reported contention, however Martin did state he's willing to pay up to $3M/year. I don't think he wants to if it could be avoided but strongly suspect he'd fork it over for the right candidate.

I like that.. the only thing I'll say is WVU being in the Big East is most likely going to be a 'stepping stone' school for years to come into the likes of the Pac 10's, Big 10's, and SEC's..

Not saying WVU isn't a good school or team, but it's not widely regaurded as lets say a USC, LSU, OSU, UM, UCLA, UF, etc.

The WVU boards are in their typical "Coach Rod is leaving!" meltdown.

Give it a few hours -- when RR denies interest or turns down an offer (and if one's made I'll be even more surprised), you won't be able to get near a UM board without a hazmat suit.

GTFOOH!!

Will TSUN let him maintain his historically questionable recruiting practices?

Can he succeed without the crutch of bringing in the educationally lame and morally crippled?

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

Sounds like another case of a coach stringing out their school for a more lucrative contract and promises by the athletic department to improve/upgrade facilities.

I actually don't see a problem with that. If a bigger, more prestigious company in another town/state offered me the same job I'm doing now at the same or better pay, you could bet your ass I'd be letting my current employer know about the offer and give them the chance to up the anty to make me stay.

nothing can be confirmed here in WV. We have our first Fiesta Bowl practice this evening, so I would assume he would be here for that.....

If its true that he is meeting with Michigan, then good riddance....last year, he danced with Bama to get what he wanted out of WVU, and hes getting everyhting he wanted.
No, because every time he even talks to another team, the posters on that board swear at him and say they don't want him anymore. That's why I said THOSE tools. Here's a nice sample (the same could be found last year during the "RR is going to Bama!!!" meltdown.

-As far as I am concerned if he is even talking to Michigan...then good riddance!
-
I just hope WVU doesn't offer one more cent. Flirting with Michigan? Good freakin' bye, Bobby Petrino Jr.
-yeah you get bit by a snake you dong pick it back up..........and Rod is the Snake ....bye bye Rod...
-**** him-I hope he leaves
mad.gif

And one person actually posts something that is at least sane, and he gets this kind of response:
-poosy
-bend over dude....

you are about to get ****** in the ass
-back away from the hash pipe
crazy.gif

-Don't even peddle that **** on here. This just 1 year after the Bama fiasco and 2 weeks ofter one of the worst coaching debacles witnessed by the people who actually Bleeds blue and gold.........Did you even put the koolaid jug down before you posted this nonsense.
-LEAVE
-Seriously, if Rod walked in your house and whipped out his johnson, would you suck it?

I'm sure you would.

classy group.

Rodriguez to scUM just doesn't add up to me. I can't see the guy that signed Patrick Lazear and Ray Williams pleasing some of the top scUM brass. Not to mention some of the borderline academic recruits that we've seen go to UWV over the years (Noel Devine for example). Rodriquez has done a fine job on the field but I can't see some of the ways he got to that point being an easy sell. Rodriquez just doesn't pass the image of being "the Michigan Man" that scUM desires.

I agree 100%. Why stop at RR if you are going to sell your soul to win? You can't offer enough to get Erickson away from ASU?

:( I have decided to sacrifice myself and become the football coach at Scum. I will make their football program squeeky clean. Of course to do that I will have to stop recruiting and only accept saints who want to play up there.
I guess 1.5 mill will be ok for that job. I just hate to see anyone whine and cry so much.
