BTW, still waiting to hear if that was the Barton quote, and explain how that remotely compares to Hart's quote.

It's been posted twice. It's not that bad, but if you guys are throwing a fucking hissy fit about something Hart said about Michigan State, not Ohio State, then why shouldn't I make a minor deal about Barton running his mouth?

It's perfectly relevant to this thread. It's the latest in a long line of classless comments from an otherwise highly respectable player. Even your scout board has plenty of posters embarrassed by such comments.

To me, a 'hissy fit' is when someone gets defensive, emotional and resorts to wild noises/statements... such as 'hyperbole.'
, then why shouldn't I make a minor deal about Barton running his mouth?
So rather than engage in a debate, you're resorting to 'well you did it, so why can't I?" Anything for an excuse to duck the point. It would not be okay, let alone amusing and refreshing to you if Barton mimicked Hart's comments in a few weeks.

Barton didn't run his mouth. He was asked about the UM seniors coming back for redemption, and answered. He didn't insult them personally or call them little brother.

Thus it makes no sense to reference those comments when reflecting on Hart mocking a rival team.

Because Barton wasn't running his mouth? His comments were nothing, the little brother shit from Hart is something you'd expect to hear from Winslow Jr. or any other proud alum of da U and Hart has a 4 year history of such trash talk. He is a punk's punk.

Your attempts to spin and slide out of this one are sad, you missed by a mile, admit it and move on.

How much Mike Hart was laughing when Appy State, who is more like a little fifth cousin, beat big bad brother Michigan?

I don't remember it, but he must have been howling so hard from the sideline that it affected big brother the next week as they got spanked by Uncle Oregon...

At the end of the day though, they still have to face their Daddy, The Ohio State Buckeyes.

On the field, there were times Hart was laughing and trash talking during the oregon beatdown... not sure about ASU.

"I was just laughing. I thought it was funny. They got excited. Sometimes you get your little brother excited when you're playing basketball, and you let him get the lead, and then you come back and take it back."

That's funny. That's how I've felt the last couple years about us against the very team he plays for.

Can't wait to hear what he has to say leading up to next week's game. He's all class.

I can't remember the exact quote so maybe someone smarter then me can help me out here but it goes something like.............

"Better to be thought a fool, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt"

There are a few you can pick from that are in Proverbs:

Proverbs 10
8The (A)wise of heart will receive commands,
But a babbling fool will be ruined.

Proverbs 12
15The (A)way of a fool is right in his own eyes,
But a wise man is he who listens to counsel.

Proverbs 12
16A (A)fool's anger is known at once,
But a prudent man conceals dishonor.

Proverbs 17
28Even a fool, when he (A)keeps silent, is considered wise; When he closes his lips, he is considered prudent.

Proverbs 18
2A fool does not delight in understanding,
But only (A)in revealing his own mind.

If you feel the same way he does, why would you criticize him for saying it?

There is a difference b/w thinking it, and saying it. And it is not just keeping it real.

For instance... I'm thinking

"If these classless idiots don't see the difference b/w thinking that they are superior to their opponent, and actually demeaning them by expressing it in an interview than they must have become incredibly insecure from so many beat downs"

but i would never say that, because you have been through enough already, and it serves no purpose, deep down you already know it. :wink2:
