I haven't exactly weighed in, so here's my opinion whether you want it or not. Was it dumb for Hart to say what he did? Yeah, probably. I don't think he meant it as bad as it came out, but it is what it is. Is MSU overreacting? Uh, yes. Here's a quote from the article you guys ought to find very interesting:

"We don't feel they really deserved to win that game. I'm sure they walked away feeling a little bit lucky coming out of it, too. I can guarantee you come next year, that (Hart's quote) will be sitting up on our bulletin board."

That's the quarterback speaking. Note to Hoyer: When declaring you now have bulletin-board material, you might not want to provide any back, especially by saying the exact same thing that was once said by the very player who pissed you off.

I wanted scUM to win, despite MD being the coach at MSU, and I felt that scUM was given a gift by MSU.

That little Bitch and his consistent stream of bulletin board material has got to embarrass LLLLoyd by showing his lack of control over his team.

As much as I dislike his whining, and the smug look on his face. He is old school, and I know he doesn't condone that bullshit.

From time to time a player might say something stupid, that is bound to happen...but for 1 player to continue to spew out degrading nonsense about former players, opponents etc.

Hrm... well as far as Harts quote goes I don't really see too much of a problem with it. I mean they were talking that the largest number of the ASU VS tsun shirts were sold to East Lansing. The real problem here is that MSU let tsun slide, and let Hart stand up there and open his mouth.

They had that game, but there season was made when tsun lost to ASU, a game they had nothing to do with. MSU radio was having a ball with it, the fans were cheering when the score was announced, yet MSU wasn't in that game? So the fans poked the bear and the team happened to get the bear.

It's the same problem I see with a lot of programs, UCLA radio has laughing at Notre Dame today never mind the fact that they lost this weekend and lost to Notre Dame earlier this year, other Pac10 teams were laughing at USC over the Stanford debacle, instead of watching what their teams do on the field.

The only problem I have is that Hart is gone after this year so MSU won't really get revenge, but I am sure next years scUM team will be reminded.

Defending Hoyer for saying MSU deserved to win and railing on Hart for saying UM should have won last year is beyond hypocritical. So really then, it wasn't all that bad, what Hart said last year?

I can't take credit for this. I was at the local Buckeye gathering watching the Whisky game when a guy mentioned that he is looking for a T-Shirt he has seen. The saying on the shirt...."Ann Arbor gave me herpes". Sounds like a takeoff on the "Ann Arbor is a whore" theme....

For Brian Hoyer, I've got this:

He sounds like a crybaby. Hey, Brian, try winning the game next time. I'd put it a slightly less antagonizing than what Hart said because it was in response to Hart's comments, but it still makes him sound like a whiny, little girl. Grow a pair and show up in the 4th quarter next year. Maybe try showing up in the 1st quarter, too.

A lot of the issues Hoyer had resulted from his receivers dropping a lot of balls. Hoyer is a solid game manager, and the loss was not his fault to say the least.

We'll see. Hoyer, Ringer, and Thomas are all Juniors. 3 offensive lineman should be coming back. Lots of young wide receivers. Lots of defensive starts are leaving though. Michigan, of course, is going to be losing a lot of talent.

Definitely made next years game more interesting. But, history will probably repeat itself, and Michigan will probably win again.
