And isn't he considered a punk-ass bitch around here because of what he said last year about how UM should have won?

He said the defense was a joke, that's what was offensive. What did that say about his own defense?

You have to admit, you've never heard anyone talk so much shit, who has been such a good player, but has never beaten the Buckeyes, never won a Bowl game, and was a part of the most embarassing loss in UM/Big Ten/NCAA D1 history.

I really think Stanford was more impressive, my homerism be damned. ASU was a 26.5 point dog, Stanford was billed as two TDs worse!

No, Hart's a punk-ass bitch because of his four years of talking shit, making pompous predictions, making excuses, whining, and just generally being a little punk-fuck...

His mouth is three times as big as he is. Hart is a tough runner...but he is kind of like a fly - you want to kill him, you spend all day swatting at him, and you might clip a wing or leg or two...but he keeps bugging the shit out of you.

His comments last year re: tOSU defense were disgraceful, lacked class, and reeked of a poor judgement/a severe inferiority complex, which originated in 2004 and has festered due to his 0-3 record against his "big brother".

It is a simple fact that tOSU handed scUM 1 TD, 1 FG (10 points) for UNFORCED errors (fumbled Datish/Troy Smith shotgun exchanges). I was there first hand - Ohio State was CLEARLY the better team by at least 14 points. Valiant effort by #ichigan, but that final score should have been 42-28.

I consider them both about the same to be honest, USC's was just funnier because Habaugh called out Pete Carroll before the season. Both were teams with high expectations at the beginning of the season, I have the SI college football preview right here and they talk about Michigan having a serious chance of making a run for the title.

So, both were utter dissapointments, not just to the fans of their teams but to the whole college football communities. Here's the cream of the crop, getting rolled by the cream of the crap.

scUM won't be able to live that down any time soon, nor will USC, though you have to be happy the pressure has been taken off both of you by the horror that is Notre Dame who Stanford will probably beat and ASU could probably beat but won't get to play.

I agree, although wouldn't it be more accurate to describe them as the crap of the cream?

Vegas spreads at the time be damned, APSU is only 3-2 in their 1-AA conference. They have lost to Wofford(who was destroyed by NCSU) and Ga Southern. They avoided a 3rd loss by beating a 3-5 Furman team by 7 points. One of the other big myths of this season is that APSU is a D1AA juggernaut.

Stanford has at least won 3 games vs D1A competition.

No AP top 10 team had EVER lost to a 1AA school before. Like it or not in this year of the upset the first one that rolls off the national tounge is Appy State.

Beyond that is Stanford at least has 1-A level recruits. Remember App State only had one player Rivals even rated. Even given the crap shoot that is recruiting rankings the difference in raw athletic skill between Stanford and ASU is big. And ASU's track record vs 1-A teams prior to scUM was bad. They couldn't beat a bad NCSU team last year despite going undefeated in 1-AA. Stanford OTOH nearly upset the greatest team ever(prior to bowl game) in 2005. Sorry SNIPER26, the ASU loss is and should remain a massive, unprecidented embarassment. Oddly, as much as it looks bad nationally for scUM to be making a run in confrence play, that just makes that game that much worse for them. Blowing what should have been a gimme is keeping them out of the discussion for the NC game.

Back to Hart, I find it funny that he can make comments about scUM's #3 rival being little brother, when he, Long, and Henne managed just 2-2 against NoD, and are 0-3 vs OSU and in bowls.

Not that it matters, but Vince Young, um I mean Armanti Edwards, missed the second half of Wofford I think. It's not an excuse, I just think ASU shouldn't have lost to Wofford.

Either way, it's embarrassing for both SC and UM.

There was no vegas line, nor lines from most others. I'm curious what line that rogue book set for the USC-Stan game.

Pretty sure that excuse doesn't work against the other two examples. If it's not an excuse, why even bring it up?

Some Vegas sports books will still offer odds on intra-divisional foes, as will offshore books.

Michigan/Appalachian St was -26.5. For comparison, OSU/Youngstown St was -31.5.

FWIW, the Southern Cal/Stanford line was -38.5.

Numerically speaking, Stanford's win was the bigger upset.

Competitively speaking, it's App St, hands down. Michigan has more 5-star players on the bench than App St has players whose names even appear in any recruiting service.

Look, Ohio St 'struggled' with YSU. Our line play in the opener was terrible. We were breaking in new guys, we couldn't run, we couldn't pass protect -- Boeckman got rocked routinely in the pocket, even when he did throw completions.

We still won 38-6.
