Miami Heat (3x NBA Champions)

I don't disagree with you.

But, you don't have to be an NBA fan (which I'm really not, anymore) to recognize that every other NBA contender will give them their best shot each time they play.

In a league where motivation and morale are suspect at any given moment, I fully expect to see fiery teams such as the Celtics to knock out these prima donnas.

I totally agree with that. Which, ironically will make any Heat championship much more "well earned" than one might have originally anticipated. I still don't know that they have to goods to win it all, but I agree with you 100% that they are going to take the best shot from all the other contenders each night and in the playoffs. While they struggled with that at first, they are now coming along and are putting together a pretty good run and are looking pretty strong.

Being a Sixer fan, I can't really say I'm rooting for them, but the Heat have been impressive.

I thought it was interesting 3 out of 4 analysts thought D-Wade was the better player this year vs. LeBron.

They all agreed D-wade is the engine that makes them go and the Heat will go as far as he takes them.

I don't mean to make this a LeBron thing, but I just can't help but wonder what he thinks when he hears stuff like that....

if the hardware is there at the end of the season, I doubt he cares. But i'm sure it gets under his skin. just like it gets under any players skin when they don't get recognition

Exactly. It pains me to say it as the Heat epitomize bandwagon sports (to me) in so many ways, but they have been impressive as of late. The fact that they came out the gate rather sluggishly and turned it around quickly is probably not a surprise to anyone. However, they have a figurative target pinned on the back of their head. Guys like Jeff Van Gundy don't make it any easier by stating that they are a lock to shatter the Bulls' 72 wins record. And although I think JVG is just being facetious and trying to stir the pot a little bit, it's just more pressure for Lebron and Friends. And if any of us Clevelanders and Ohioans know anything, then I think it's fair to say that pressure and Lebron James do not equate into championships. :wink2:

21 out of 22 now. 44 out of Bron last night. The Big Three combined for all but 10 points in the OT win vs Portland. deezam. NBA schedule is messed up. Miami has two more win than Boston, but has played three more games than Boston, so Boston still in first place in the East. Weird.

Going down by 20 in the first half finally caught up to the Heat. It goes without saying, but they've got to right that ship before the playoffs start--they won't be facing the likes of Golden St. and the Clippers if they want to win a title.
