Miami Heat (3x NBA Champions)

I dont think fans are booing him to take him out of his game, they're booing him to show they disagree with his decision to cheat the sport and cheat himself.
I gotta agree with billmac here. He, Bosh and Wade all colluded to join the same team years before they could do so. While not technically against the rules for players (but strangely is for owners) it destroys not only the integrity of the sport but makes it a laughing stock. Why have a team in Cleveland, Sacramento, Minneapolis, Denver, etc, etc if they are only there to lose to "Super Teams" composed of stars who wanted to play together?

Look...we asked the Lebron supporters to stay out of the 'Quitness' thread so everyone could vent. Any positive rebuttal came across as trolling.

It is only fair that the same is done in return for this thread.

If people want to discuss the Heat and your Lebron/NBA/Heat hate doesn't allow you to discuss, just stay away from the thread.

Thanks.

Those teams exist to be the Washington Generals to the Lakers/Heat version of the Globetrotters. They're just jobbers to the travelling show.

By the way, Heat looking for another double digit win tonight. Against some team from NE Ohio. Shouldn't be too hard. Harlem always takes down the Generals.

way to go on a 9 game winning streak against teams with a combined 91-123 record....REALLY impressive :roll2:

It's better than losing those games. While I don't think this proves the Heat are going to be the team to beat, their ability to knock out the last 9 games certainly indicates some improvement over their early season performance. While I get the knocking of the team when they are failing, I don't see the knocking them when they aren't. During this run, they've looked pretty good.

Now, what happens when they run into Orlando and Boston...

orlando is in a tailspin...miami would take care of them...boston is the only team in the east at the current time that i think can hang with miami at the moment...chicago could possibly lose noah for 8 weeks if he needs surgery on his thumb...orlando just looks lost out there right now and just lost to denver last night losing 5 out of their last 6...atlanta is without joe johnson currently for about another 3-5 weeks...the knicks are actually second in the atlantic right now with 9 losses, but i dont think they would hang with the heat...boston has a few injury problems of their own with shaq, jermaine oneal and rondo has a hamstring and plantar fasciitis...so whats funny is the heat finally start to gel after they walk into the inferno which is cleveland and the Q, burn off 9 straight wins, they get mike miller back in a matter of weeks and besides the injury to haslem, they are the healthiest they have been all year...at this point in time right now, especially if boston takes a major injury hit which is not out of the question considering the age of half that team, i dont think anyone besides boston will compete with miami in the playoffs...if boston is seed #1 and miami is #2 and boston gets knocked out early then look out...i cant wait to see the lakers and miami play especially since bynum is back for the heat...i just want to see what phil jacksons game plan will be for the heat considering they have terrible big men...one matchup other then that for entertainment purposes i would love to see is miami vs oklahoma city...i think that would be a great game as well

The interesting part about the win streak is that the W in Cleveland really seamed to bring the Heat team together. They looked like 5 guys doing their own thing up until that Cleveland game. Kind of ironic that all the ill will in Cleveland towards Lebron may have saved the Heat's season.

I think my post in the Lebron thread when the Cavs fans were laughing about Miami's struggles was: come December, this team will be a force. I guess I was right. With Miller coming back, they get even more dangerous. He will fill that Craig Hodges, John Paxson, Steve Kerr roll. You know with Wade as Jordan and Lebron as Pippen (even though Lebron is scoring more, assisting more, and getting more rebounds than Wade)

Since Lebron is supposedly Wades sidekick, I figured I would analyze Lebron's performance Pre-Wade and Post-Wade and compare to Jordan pre-Pippen and post-Pippen. We are about 30 games into an 82 game season which I feel is a decent enough sample to see where Lebron's stats will end up this season.

MJ's first full 5 years in the league ( he missed almost an entire season in '85-86) he Averaged 33.2 points per game without a great wingman.

I am pickin g 1990-91 season as Pippens first "great year". He averaged 18 pts a game that season and was his highest average of his career. He averaged 16 the previous season. So I am counting 90-91 as Pippens arrival since he had two quality season back to back. The next 5 season's after Pippens "arrival" on the scene, MJ's production dropped to 30.3 points per game. So Jordan, slowed his production to get Scottie Pippen involved in the offense and his team improved.

Lebron Averaged 27.7 pts per game his first 7 years in the league. Since moving to Miami and getting his first great wingman, his production has dropped to 24.5 points per game. This is a drop of 3.2 points per game compared to Jordan droping 2.9 pts per game. In other words, people critisizing Lebron for giving up his legacy to be Wade's sidekick MAY be wrong, we will see. Both guys dropped their production by about 3 points a game to make room for a great wingman. Also, if you watch the Heat, it is becoming Lebrons team. Once they realized that, that is when the win streak started.

good game. Low scoring, which was surprising. congrats to the Mavs on the win. Heat still have some work to do. Miller looked pretty rusty out there for his first game. But still, to only lose by two, I like the Heat's chances in a best of 7. At least they didn't go out and lay an egg like they've done vs Boston.

LeBron was -20 in point differential, worst on the team tonight. He stuffed the stat sheet, similar to the way he did against the Celtics, but just played awful.

6-17 from the field, and five turnovers. Not to mention several of his buckets and points came with ridiculous calls. Game shouldn't have been as close as it was...Heat got a lot of loving from the crew.
