Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

Gruden going to Miami would hurt ohio states recruiting in florida so hopefully he stays in the booth
Hardly. OSU doesn't get many homebodies out of Florida. They generally pluck kids who want to leave, and win a very poor percentage of head to head battles with the big 3. See Joyner, McGee, Harris, etc.

Honestly, I have no idea where Miami is coming up with the $$ to get a big time coach. They ain't that rich, and their alumni base is not that large. It makes more sense for them to get an up-and-comer with an incentive laden contract than to pay the going rate for the Grudens of the world.

especially considering it would be well known that gruden would be a short termer anyway.

Sh!t is ridiculous...

Getting GrUden is a stupid move - $30M+ for 3-4 years, then he bolts, WITH the staff he put in.

So...

You end up with NO Coach
NO staff...

Oh, and guess what, NO $$ to get a new Coach!

Wow - yeah - smart move!

BRB - lemme call Santa - I think he can Coach kids up.
Easter Bunny as OC, HellBoy as DC.

I swear - UM administration needs to get off cloud 9 and come back down to reality.

HOCUTT!! YO! Real World holding on line #2 for you!

While we're inventing sh!t, maybe this is a ploy for a former OU/KSU person to submarine the program?
Hrmmmmm...

I have to say it's fun to see a Miami fan kvetching about questionable decisions by the school administration.

Most Hurricane 'fans' you run across are the absolute worst type of delusional kool-aid drinking football wins over all use loons.

That's BS - what good is a University, if you're turning out tree stumps?

Winning with a BALANCE is best.

Honestly?

I'd rather be a perennial bridesmain 1-loss team, with high graduation rates and no off-field issues, than winning a NC every 3 years, at the expense of graduation rates, NCAA investigations, and constant arrests.

Easy choice.
