Ever been to Eugene? Its the nuttiest place on earth. I fly out there every so often for work. I went to a company picnic, only to find out that they are totally indifferent to public sex....And that was before I had to worry about stoners and the homeless.
Mrstickball, I have to ask you: were they all speaking Dutch and eating brownies?* You may have taken the wrong plane.

And is that Mrs tickball, or what? :p

Interesting. Is that listed as an official benefit or a soft benefit in your company handbook?

:pimp:

Ha ha. Maybe I worded it incorrectly.. I went to a company picnic at one of the local Eugene parks, only to have to deal with 'local sights' of people engaging in stuff that'd probably get you in jail in Columbus. Well, unless you were in the short north, of course :-p

Rat leaving sinking ship. Highlights at 11:00.

I would love to have been a fly on the wall at the Geiger-Bellotti conversation that caused him to give his grandstanding press conference announcing his "disinterest" in The Ohio State University coaching job.

I live one hour north of Eugene. Yes, I've been there a number of times.

Its like the Ann Arbor of the west coast.

I have nothing positive to say about Eugene as I have been open elsewhere with my disdain towards it. However, there are a LOT of places much worse than Eugene in the world.

As for the homelessness/open drug use/etc, what do you expect when the local government is fine with it?
