Mark May (Blew 5 guys at Pitt)

He did go to Pitt, but still got punished by the buckeyes, and therefore holds a grudge. According to an article I read it said he was nicknamed "May Day" because of the distress he caused defensive tackles, I just figured it was because he liked to dance around a pole. Take it how you want

Guys, he loves reading this crap. Thinks it makes him a big star and that he "has our attention" because we fear his "crritical analysis".

The truth is that he plays a role on ESPiN. He is a nothing. A nobody who will be replaced by another nothing and nobody in the not too distant future, just like Trev Alberts was.

May has no opinions of any worth, he reads cue cards, and almost everyone ignores him. Seeing him and Holtz begin to discuss anything is a sign that a bathroom break is possible and that's what most folks do.

With the beginning of the college football season around the corner, I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of this thread. I'll start it off.

On ESPN's "Cold Hard Facts" segment, they asked Mark May which team not in the top 10 is most likely to end up in the top 10. Pitt. Big surprise.

Then they asked which team in the top ten is most likely to fall out of the top 10. West Virginia.

:shake:

Whats even worse is that old senile bastard sitting next to him every week.

When asked if Notre Dame will improve this season, Lou says they'll get 10wins...

When asked what SEC team has the best chance to surprise people and win the conference, Lou responds with South Carolina...

Refresh my memory but, which were the two last programs Lou coached before calling it quits?

Yeah, neither are good analysts. Lou at least makes me laugh because he spits everywhere and struggles with general pronunciation. Mark May is just a giant bag of douche fluid.

I find myself laughing at Lou too, and not just because of his crazy "predictions" or his CVA-Like speech...but the fact that he knows it and purposely does it to piss off May.

However, talk shows only require ONE "comedic" performer...and I think thats Lou's job on the show. May's is to be a "non-bias educated analyst" and instead as you said he's just a giant bag of douche.

Never thought i'd want Trev Alberts back so much

Im so glad to have found this thread on May. As much as a homer as Herbie can be at times, May and Holtz go above and beyond.

Ill add to this thread with him talking about the Clemson Tigers being an overrated bust this season and will not even compete for the ACC title - One year after he predicted Clemson to go 6-6. He should know all too well about flops because I came across his book on Amazon starting at a whopping $5.77!

Yeah, but last night Dr. Lou reminded Mark May that he "coached against SEC defenses" while Mark May's Pitt teams were "playing Hofstra"
The jab two nights ago was brilliant.

Lou - "Mark, back when you played for the Pittsburgh ... um ... uh ... Pirates,"
Mark - "-- Panthers."
Lou - "Yeah, OK. Whatever they are."

I absolutely love Lou on there. Yeah, he's a homer, but is that really that big of a deal? I always end up laughing at a lot of the things he says, and by that I mean I'm laughing with him, not at him.

I don't know. I just think Lou should be biased to ND. ND played a huge role in his life and he obviously still has feelings for the place. If I was him, at his age, I'd probably be doing the same thing.

May's just a pompous sack of shit, though.

I'm not a fan of May, he can have good predictions at times, but a blind squirrel will find a nut once in awhile. I loved his criticism of ND during Weis's first year, didn't think they would win 4 games and was certain they'd lose to Tennessee, didn't happen.

May definitly has something against the Buckeyes. Hes got a hard on for USC and Florida in the championship game I think. Apparantly no one told him OSU still has a phenominal defense and a hard hitting offense.
