Ok, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, Marion Local continues to astound. They played Ansonia, a team that finished the season 9-1 and had won 2 playoff games by a combined score of 106-28

I wouldn't bet against Marion Local's 2nd string beating Philo.

There should be a way to bump this school up to at least D5. At least if it were for football only. That score made absolutely no sense

Obvious to me that Marion should definitely be D6. Kirtland handing it to Coldwater at halftime. OHSAA needs to reevaluate their “competitive” division setup. Teams like Ansonia and Tri Village and even other MAC schools would have a chance to make state. Outside of Minster, Ansonia or Tri Village could’ve won state this year.

Correction…MaxPreps was wrong like usual. Coldwater pounded Kirtland. I’m thinking Marion could probably win state or at least be competitive from D3 on down. But I bet they could hang with most D1 teams in the state.

It’d be interesting to see them play the bigger schools. On one hand, idk how they would even keep up with Hoban, TCC. And then would they have the size and depth to face the GCL teams? It’d be a fun watch
