we fired Les in September for two reasons.

a. the schedule set up nicely form him to make a run and win just enough to save his job. and we wanted to prevent that.
b. we wanted a head start on the coaching search.


two months later and we hire a guy that no other school in the country would even interview, let alone hire because he went on a run against a craptastic schedule and won just enough to keep his job.

allegedly we were willing to "open the checkbook".

but we passed on the guy with the best available resume (Jimbo Fisher) who wanted top 3 in the country money.

and the brightest up and coming mind out there (Herman) because he wanted to hear the texas offer, and we bolted before he even had that meeting with them.

so we settled on the guy who has a historically bad resume coming in and didn't even interview anyone else.

Not speaking for Dryden, I'm happy as can be with the finals score, but special teams today: two missed field goals and bad kick off coverage that allowed Gerbil to put them in position to score right after the Bucks took the lead at 7 - 3.

Pissed doesn't begin to describe how I feel about this.

We didn't even fucking interview anyone else.
We caved to Texas before Texas even spoke to Herman.
we didn't seriously pursue Jimbo.
And we didn't even search to see what else is out there.

We hired the worst head coach in the history of Ole Miss football.
A century of suck, and we just hired the guy who took that suck to unprecedented levels.

Didn't interview Fedora, Fleck, Fuentes, Whiitingham, the hot dog vendor from section 413, Larry Culpepper. Nobody.

it's not like anyone else was beatin down O's door and we had to lock him up before they stole him.

Joe Alleva has now hired the guy who sunk LSU basketball into hopeless despair, a bad women's basketball hire, and now an Ogre that's bringing Kiffin to Baton Rouge.
What could possibly go wrong having Kiffen and Orgeron back together without adult supervision again?

if this needle dick imbecile of an AD we have ever needs to hire a baseball coach for us, I may seriously contemplate offing the guy before he gets that chance.
