LSU Tigers (official thread)

I miss Gator. I would really love him to be here to see the contiuned success of this program. Meanwhile UF has become a shit sandwich...

And venue doesn't matter, both teams are hot garbage. I just want to see Fornette truck a few people.

i was wanting to see what we looked like in the road against a team that allegedly has a pulse.

games against Mizzou don't count.

however, now thanks to the added bad blood and animosity, i'm really looking forward to the atmosphere for this florida game now.

He would probably be willing to take a contrary position.

LSU even said they were open to flying in on Sunday morning, playing in an empty stadium in Gainesville, and flying out Sunday night. LSU's AD basically proposed every alternative under the sun but Florida was hellbent on not playing this game. Long story short, not playing this game makes Florida's path to the SEC Championship Game much easier.

As for moving the game to November 19, LSU would lose about $5 million in revenue from the lost home game if they did that. It would also mean LSU plays @Arkansas, @Florida and @aggie in a 13 day span. No thanks.

smh LSU fans.

typical response i've seen from gator fans.

none can give a serious answer as to why this game wasn't played last weekend.

all they can do is yell and whine about 11/19.

even though the game was schedule for 10/8, they all seem to think that 11/19 at night in Gainesville was the only possible solution.

i don't think we got a great deal in this one either.
yeah in the short term we get to play in baton rouge next month.
but we lose a home game next year.

so no matter how you slice it, we miss out on the revenue of a game at home due to this mess. if that was going to happen, we should have just taken the hit now and got it over with.

and because this went down publicly, Alleva is the bad guy.

probably not a good idea to have the conf office pissed at your AD.

UF loses 2 home games this year and only gains one next year. It's a bad deal for them. As to why the game wasn't played last weekend, you know why. On this site you seemed to be wondering why UF wasn't canceling the game during the week prior because of the impending doom. Then the doom wasn't quite so bad, but how could anyone know and how could anyone know what kind of support forced might be needed elsewhere in Florida instead of being at a game in Gainesville.

UF got screwed by LSU, you should probably just get "right" with that and enjoy the fact that you fucked them.

i don't think either side got a good deal in this one.

i never once suggested the game be cancelled. or even moved beyond that weekend.

i did say 11am in Gainesville would be stupid and they were absolutely right to move it from then.

but there were options out there.

Just tell me who or what I have to sacrifice for LSU to beat Bammer.

every single person who has had anything to do with the LSU offenses the last several years.
last night's game plan looked just like our previous coach was still on the sidelines.

Defense played good enough to beat anyone in the country last night. crowd was freaking intense and loud all game. we fucking had that shit.

offense needs to be completely rebuilt. plain and simple.

Tyrann Mathieu donates $1 million to LSU

134713013-e1478448725578.jpg

Not so long ago, LSU defensive back Tyrann Mathieu was among the best players in college football. Unfortunately, demons off the field got in the way of allowing Mathieu to finish his collegiate years at LSU, leaving the school no choice but to remove him from the program so he could take care of himself. Fast forward a few years and Mathieu is enjoying life in the NFL and giving back to the school that made him a star even if things didn’t end as he would have liked.

Mathieu donated $1 million to the Tiger Athletic Foundation prior to yesterday’s SEC West battle with Alabama. The money donated will go toward the upgrade plans for the LSU football operations building. It was fitting that Mathieu’s donation was made public prior to the Alabama game, as he was a part of the last LSU team to hand Alabama a loss in the series in 2011. Of course, later that year, Mathieu’s LSU squad would lose the rematch in the BCS Championship Game. On Saturday night, LSU’s offense had the same kind of results the 2011 Tigers had in that title game.

man i forgot how much fun it was to ride the coaching carousel.

according to "insiders" on LSU boards, we're hiring Jimbo, Herman, O, and Fedora.

all of them are done deals and total up to around 20mil per year.

gonna be an interesting season with all that on the sideline at the same time.
Jimbo head. Fedora OC, Herman co-OC and QB coach, Orgeron oline. Most taking pay cuts to be part of dream team. Probably will go undefeated for 5 years and then all retire.
