The players carried Miles off the field last year and loved him too. How did that work out for us again?

You had a year to come up with a plan.

You said we were going after an established offensiv

imagine Urban Meyer leaving for a couple years then going to Michigan and creating a Dynasty. Then y'all bring back Cooper for a decade, fire him and hire John L. Smith.

that's what we just did.

There's a saying about if you listen to the fans when making decisions, you'll soon be sitting with them.

I think it applies to listening to 20 year old players as well.

it's now been 24 hours and i have had time to sit back and digest this hire. After letting my emotions settle and looking at this with a completely open mind i've come to the following conclusion.

Joe Alleva need to be fucking fired, re-hired, publicly beaten with a wet cane pole, have the entire population off mexico shit down his throat after eating beans from that place in Corpus that nearly killed me in '07, then fired again.

we're paying Ed fucking Orgeron $1 million dollars less than the guy we refused to "overpay".

we didn't seriously pursue Jimbo Fisher.

we didn't interview a swinging dick one out side of Ed goddamn Orgeron and his binder.

i'm from south louisiana (about 20 min from Orgeron), talk like a coonass, can cook a mean Jambalaya, love LSU, and would work cheaper than the guys who are actually good at what they do.

by Alleva's logic i should have been in the running for this job.

Well, at least you have nine long months to get used to the idea now.

You know, like realizing that bizarre nightmare you had actually happened, that you are in fact being held prisoner by a demonic cult, and that you really are impregnated with the spawn of Satan. Now there's nothing left to do but wait, and contemplate what sort of reptile-eyed monstrosity is going to slither out into the world come next Autumn.

I'm still shocked by this hire. I, personally, think LSU is a top 10 job in CFB. Maybe not on par with tOSU, Bammer, scUM, ND as far as history/prestige...but just a tier below that. I would think they could certainly fit in with the UF, FSU, Texas's. To not even really ATTEMPT to lure a top coach and settle for a guy whose primary qualification is he's a coon-ass is criminally incompetent. It would have been like tOSU handing the keys to Fickell after 2011 without even trying to get Urban because he's an Ohioan and has a great smile. Sucks, because I thought with the right coach, LSU could finally really challenge Saban. Herman there with the talent already on the roster and recruiting Louisiana and Texas would have been scary.
