Sorry, I couldn't resist. It's losing.

Thanks Jaxbuck, for the spell check. I'll keep my America Heritage Dictionary close in the future LOL. I do like #6 definition, it sort of fits though.

Bob Hunter commentary: Ohio State shouldn't want Carr up on blocks

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

An Ohio State fan who calls himself President Tressel has been running amok on SackCarr.com, starting threads with titles such as "Maybe John Cooper is available," "Call Gary Moeller!!" and "Do NOT fire Carr!!!!!!!!!!!"

Just so you know, the exclamation point on my keyboard isn't sticking. There were 11 in that title, a pretty good indication the prez feels much more strongly about that sentiment than his suggestion to call Moeller, who coached Michigan before Lloyd Carr took over in 1995.
What's interesting about this -- well, outside of the Wolverines flushing a promising season down the toilet by losing Saturday to Appalachian State -- is that Michigan fans who like to brag about how coolly indifferent they are to football success have started acting as if they're ready to drag some couches to the school president's lawn and set them afire.

Charles Babb looks at every one of Llllloyd's losses at TSUN, and how special team failures were involved in most of them. A worthwhile read, with many painful memories for the Vulvarines.

Babb Bits: It's All About The Coaching

This past weekend's - no, very probably this season's Giant Raspberry Award goes to Lloyd Carr. While Appalachian State is obviously a championship team at the FCS (I-AA) level, they don?t have a single player who would start at a place like Michigan. They should have been blown out of the stadium by the Wolverines. Sure the Mountaineers have a few quick players and a collective heart as large as a barge, but this should have been like trying to take down a tank with a .22 pistol. Had Michigan bothered to show up at all, the Mountaineers would have about as good a shot at winning as Michael Jackson being put in charge of an orphanage.

Maybe it was bomb sniffing dogs.

Maybe it was because of poor referees.

Maybe it was because Michigan's stadium seems about as loud as single cricket on an airport tarmac and fans are encouraged to politely sit instead of standing to cheer.

Or maybe, just maybe, this isn't about tired, lame excuses but finally admitting this is about coaching.

Why is this about coaching?

Cont'd ...

We love you, VLoyd. Don't listen to them.

Your legacy is secured, but please, don't deprive us of your genius. Do not go quietly into the night. There is so much more wimpering to be done.

On our darkest days, you make life worth living.

Please don't ever go, we really do love you. Really. Don't go. Please.

My ode to Lloyd from last year. Steve's poetry moved me to remember(wipes tear).

A little something I wrote for Voyd (my apologies to Conway Twitty)

My name should be trouble, my name should be woe
For beatings by Tressel are all that I know
Yeah, lonely, lonely blue boy is my name.

My life has been hell, my team has been shit
God how I miss that hot tub sellin' hick
Yeah, lonely, lonely blue boy is my name.

Well, I'm so, I'm so afraid of tomorrow,
And so tired, so tired of today
They said that John was the answer,
But John has gone away.

I'm writing this letter to someone unknown
If you can get John his job back, your likley to get blown
Well, lonely, lonely blue boy is my name/

Remember, lonely, lonely blue boy is my name...

I'm shocked to only see a handful of posts here after scUM got blown out by an unranked Oregon team. That is a true testament to how bad XLloyd really is.

Anyone else *almost* feel bad for Michigan? I'm pretty sure today was the closest I'll ever come...
