Yeah, you probably did. Still seems like splitting hairs to me, but whatever. Your life, your sucky teams.

Especially the Cavs who are most definitely shitty and have no chance of winning a title this year (or ever).

I can sort of see it from his perspective... if I place myself in the position of choosing a favorite Bundesliga team, for example. Maybe I'd choose BvB because of their fans, or Wolfsburg because of how they run their team, or Bayern because they're successful and eventually any great player I like in the league will be wearing their jersey.

But I think most people don't "choose" their teams... or if they do, the choice is limited to 2 (ie: NYC has 2 teams for most/all? sports).

We call those that feel no loyalty whatsoever to any of their current or past communities a bandwagon fan... and we've long since established that's what Mike is.

I think that's the best part about the whole thing to me. I felt like I was getting robbed of "witnessing" greatness when LeBron went to MIA. It's why, though I always want Jack to hold the record, I have no problem cheering on an amazing display by Tiger, one of the best shot-makers in golf history.

The 37, 18, 13 games- and really these entire playoffs- are what I enjoy about sports in general. The greatness seems to be back. Hope it carries on for 4 more games.

My communities, current or past, have never had a professional sports team, other than the Crew. You can't choose a local team to follow when there is no local team.

I thought you lived in NW Ohio?
Even if you're in Cbus area... Cinci and Cleveland are both right there. Not to mention the obvious contradiction of choosing TSUN over the local school.
Yet almost all your teams are out-of-State... and not even in the same State. Just whatever team was probably successful when you gained interest in that sport.

Born and raised in Columbus. Grandpa was a UM alum, that's what got me into them. As a kid I would watch the Bengals and Reds with my dad, he preached about hating all things Cleveland. He still can't stand sports teams from up there to this day. :lol: I tolerate the Cavs simply because of LeBron. But when I got serious about sports, Jim Everett, Flipper Anderson, Eric Dickerson sucked me right into the Rams. Loved watching those guys play back then. Dickerson's 2100 yards was amazing. I still keep an eye on the Cincy teams, just because that's what my dad watched.

Which I have, in every sport except the NBA. I grew up watching Dominique and Atlanta. When they traded him to the Clippers for Danny freaking Manning, I was done. First place team trading their superstar after the All Star break is just unheard of. It was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever seen. After that, I just started following players.
