Yep. The kicker is that the Cavs have, by far, the best pieces for a sign and trade. It's going to be interesting and might come down to LBJ's abiliy to sell the Cavs to Bosh...

i think this is all being made up by people from the media based in chicago or NY or MIA...i am positive i heard bosh on Mike and Mike a week and a half ago being asked by a caller what he thought about coming to cleveland...bosh's response was something like: well cleveland doesnt have a coach right now and lebron may not be there so its hard for me to say i would go to cleveland right now but you never know....so basically if he wants to play with lebron bad enough he will go to Juarez Mexico to play basketball if it means thats what team lebron is going to play for

Agreed that is being over played a decent bit by media as is almost any story. The key is that Bosh wants to play with Lebron or Wade. If Wade resigns with Miami then Bosh is going to have to give up 30 million because I don't think Toronto wants to do a sign and trade with them. Come to Cleveland and he can get his max deal and not give up any money.

I know this isn't over yet, but it's quite satisfying to think that with just LeBron's Bird Rights and zero cap space, the Cavs might be in the best position of all to "win" free agency - especially after all the disparaging talk that has taken place over the last couple years.

This is why I like how the NBA salary cap is setup. The hometown team always has the best chance to keep a player as long as they have good management and are willing to spend the money to keep what they have.
If this were the MLB the Knicks would offer Lebron, Wade, and Bosh each $30 mil a year and sign them all. The hard cap in the NFL relies on good drafting and smart signings, but doesn't give the home team any advantage to resign current players. Bird rights and preset max salaries based on experience are possibly the greatest thing in sports.

Bingo. MLB is the worst. I don't really have much of a beef with the NFL, considering how small markets have just as much success as large market teams.

Decision coming Thursday at 9. Broussard and Windhorst both tweeting that Bosh has apparently rejected the sign and trade to Cleveland. In addition, Bosh indicates that today is a "GREAT" day. I'm not much for reading the tea leaves, but those are good signs for Miami or Chicago.

An hour long special to name a freaking team he's signing with? WTF is this crap? I'm sorry, but for those who want to say this NBA is anything like the "glory days", I can't see Bird or Magic or Jabbar doing something like this. I'm getting really close to saying screw Lebron, despite how much of a Cavs fan I am.
