Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

When all is said and done.. LeBron is home... in Akron Ohio
He may see Miami as a long vacation.. during college FL was a key vacation site...
Any difference between his Miami $20M+ and what he'd get somewhere else
is only relevant when contrasted with what he might be worth marketing-wise in his new location
The product marketing sponsor world will have an impact (he learned that via The Decision)
Akron/Cleveland will have an impact.. there's a reason the James Compound is still in Akron and still growing
He can sell his Miami residence.. but the compound is customized for/by LeBron for the duration

I don't see correlations in Shaqs situation..
New Jersey (H); LSU college; Orlando/LA/Miami/Phoenix/Cavs/Boston

I was just comparing great players who left teams in the prime of their careers. That was really it.

All I am getting at is they made it this far in life to win titles and make a lot of money in the profession they chose. Not too many out there who can claim both. Gotta have some brains to make it that far.I never claimed they were members of mensa either.

Again, the made money and own titles because they were born with the athletic ability to do so. Nothing else.

By your logic you should have posters of lottery winners on your wall.

It's a long shot but what about Houston? If they deal Asik and Lin they'll have the space, and that's extremely doable given their assets. There are reports they might do this even without LeBron, to court someone like Melo.

But for television's sake, I sure hope he doesn't go to Houston. Can you imagine him, Harden, and Howard shooting 50 free throws a game between the three of them? Yawn.

That's not a long shot at all--Houston and Chicago have been consistently mentioned as two of the most likely destinations in the event that he leaves Miami.

There is talk of kyle lowry from toronto having interest in coming. He would be a big upgrade over Chalmers and Cole.

They still have to do something about size. When you miss someone like Joel Anthony, you know you're hurting.

you do realize that toronto is planning on making him a pretty massive offer, so it will take a substantial pay cut from the big 3, plus letting just about the entire rest of the roster walk to pull this off.
