Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

"Biggest game of his life," and he still scores less than Wade and Bosh, and Wade went out temporarily with an injury.

It would be excellent if Dallas can close in Miami, but seeing James look like a fool right now is pretty sweet

The comparisons to Jordan are over. I never remember Jordan consistantly choking in the playoffs, he pretty much just went out there and won.

Honestly, I, myself, owe Lebron James a sincere apology. For a year now, I was absolutely convinced that he quit on the Cavaliers knowing that it be easier for him to leave at the end of the season. I 've called him everything under the sun since "the decision" aired, and I'm not even a Cavs fan.

As it turns, LeBron apparently is just a choke artist who can't take the pressure of the NBA finals. He's not quitting. He's not throwing the game or point shaving. He's just not as good as we all thought he was.

So, LeBron, I sincerely apologize for all of the bad things I've said about you for the last several months. I clearly mistook your lack of intestinal fortitude for abject apathy. You have now shown us you can choke away games in any city, not just Cleveland.

this finals has shown me that lebron indeed made the right decision by going to miami. he would have never won a title in cleveland, not as the alpha dog. in the end, it was the best for both franchises. cleveland would continue to have inexplicable playoff exits each year, and the inability to grab a legit sidekick to carry lebron as his non-commital and unwillingness to recruit FA's wouldn't have changed.

quite frankly, this should have been easy to see. lebron is a front runner. that's why he's a yankees and cowboys fan. that's why he bolted to play glorified AAU ball with his butt buddies in south beach. he's great when things are going well, or when he is playing with house money. but when it comes crunch time, or things get tough, he folds.

the heat may well win the title, but it will be because dwayne wade is in NBA Jam mode, and the refs gift wrap it. it won't be because that team earned it, especially lebron. to win a title in cleveland, he'd have had to earn in, really earn it, and that's not in his DNA.

now that i've said that, watch him go out and drop 40 two straight games and carry the team to a title.

When has Lebron ever played well when the pressure was on? (i.e. San Antonio, Orlando, Boston) The only time I can remember him coming up with a big effort was when they were the dogs against the Pistons. His ass could turn coal into diamonds when he's expected to play big to win the game as a favorite. No one expected the Cavs to beat the Pistons back then so there was no pressure. He didn't go to Miami to be the man. He went to Miami to get Wade to get him rings, unfortunately Miami wasn't counting on getting Boston series Lebron in the Finals. Watch him throw Wade, Bosh, and everyone else under the bus when they lose.

you seem hung up on the last days of him being under contract with Cleveland when he wouldn't commit. I'm talking about the 6 years before that.

The fact you think Pau isn't elite ends my discussion with you. Ridiculous.

Pau Gasol only appears to be elite because the talent of the NBA is at an all-time low for bigs.

He's not even the best big on this TEAM, much less in the league.
