Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

No, that comes from a lifetime of association with idiot Cleveland fans.

Maybe you should find a narrower brush?

Yeah, I read that. I still don't get it. He works for the Cavs and is a Yankee's fan. Would you be upset with Amon Ones if he showed up at the game in a Yankee's cap?

It is more because of LeBron's status as a global superstar and to the fact that he was born/raised in NE Ohio. He is a symbol of Cleveland, more so than any other sports figure has ever been. If you would walk up to any sports fan and ask him what figure is most associated with the city of Cleveland they would tell you LeBron nearly every time.

How many people grew up in NE Ohio and don't follow all Cleveland teams...

Plenty, but how many of them have the star power and camera time of LeBron James?

I understand what you are saying, but it is not the sport he is playing in, so why does he have to break ties?

So what you are saying is if you were drafted by the Bengals to play football, and you were the face of the franchise, you would become a reds fan? Why should you have to...The ties were there before the draft...

If Carson Palmer starts wearing a Reds' hat, they ought to examine his head. :p

He doesn't have to, that's just my opinion.

geezzz....who cares who he likes in baseball......not that big of a deal. The media has to write about something or talk about something when the first game was a blow out.

But when they talked to him when it wasn't a blow out and he had made several statements previous to last night's game. Like I said, it's my opinion.

Everyone on the planet has an opinion of LeBron today and that was my point.......you can only write about a 12-3 blowout so much......everyone has an opinion and you are entitled to yours, but he has been seen with a NY hat on before......this has been blown way out of whack.

Tom Brady has gotten a lot of shit up here for being seen wearing a Yankees cap. I think it's funny. I don't care who they root for -- they have an obligation to their team and their team only, IMO.

Exactly. I don't give a shit if he wears a Yankees hat, because when he puts on a basketball jersey, it says "Cavs" on it, and he wins us a lot of fucking games wearing it. If he showed up in a Knicks jersey, that's a different story.
