LB Raekwon McMillan (New England Patriots)

OSU will be extremely tough to beat here. I just hope he decides earlier than his senior year's UA All-American game. He could really help rally some big '14 recruits from Georgia to OSU. Autry, Orlando Brown, Kitt, Glass, etc. could all fall our way with the help of McMillan.

I totally agree. The 2014 class is shaping up well, but the one thing that could really put it over the top is for a top national recruit to commit early and start helping to recruit other top players to join him (like Brewster did a few years back). Both in GA and beyond.

Often times that class leader is the QB, but it seems like there are a lot if QBs very closely grouped together on OSUs board and it may take a while for OSU to evaluate which one or two they want to offer. So it may be that we need a non-QB to step up and lead this class.

It seemed like the 2013 class was led by a DB in burrows and Woodard. So I'm for anyone stepping up. Raekwon would fit in great and he's at a major position of need too

McMillan enjoys return trip to Clemson

By Phil Kornblut
LB Raekwon McMillan of Hinesville, GA was at Clemson last Saturday for the Virginia Tech game. He also visited Clemson last summer and this visit further enhanced his interest in the Tigers. "It was real nice," McMillan said. "I get a great home feeling at Clemson. They treated me real well." McMillan said he talked a lot with head coach Dabo Swinney and recruiter Jeff Scott And he watched the work of defensive coordinator Brent Venables closely. "I like how Coach Venables puts his linebackers in a position to make plays," he said. McMillan also has been to games at Georgia and USC. He is going to Florida November 3rd and Ohio State November 24th. After his Clemson visit, McMillan reshuffled his top five. Ohio State remains the favorite but, he said, by a slim margin over Clemson. Georgia, Alabama and Southern Cal complete the order of his top five. "Ohio State is a prestigious program and their tradition is great," he said. "Coach Urban Meyer is one of the, if not the best, coach in the country right now. McMillan will not announce a decision until the 2014 Under Armour AA Game. This season he has 100 tackles with 20 for loss and 7 sacks.

Rivals$--McMillan names leader, talks recent visits

Raekwon watches tOSU every chance he gets and feels the defense needs 'quarterback' to lead them. He says he knows tOSU will set him up for life

If you have ever daydreamed about playing linebacker at Ohio State, stepping into the lineup from day one, starting for four years, cementing yourself in the record books with Gradishar, Cousineau, Marek, Johnson, Spielman, Katzenmoyer, Hawk, Laurinatis et al, and winning Big Ten and National championships in the process, can you think of better timing than being in the 2013 and/or 2014 recruiting classes to do that?

Obviously some of these players haven't thought it through in that much detail, but the next two years undoubtedly present an amazing chance for a LB or two to become the next Buckeye legends.

And if you can't tell, I have put some thought into that as someone who has daydreamed about playing LB at Ohio State.

Guys like Raekwon have an amazing opportunity to do something great in scarlet and gray. I hope that he and others take advantage of the unique circumstances they find themselves in and very much look forward to watching them if they do.
