I mean, Day sounded pretty confident and swift when he said they look forward to having him back real soon; still holding out hope he just reaggrivated and they’re just taking these extra weeks to rest him for th stretch.

Or not. Just watched Day’s presser and when asked about Young traveling to Rutgers he said they’ve “gotten waivers for guys like C.J. and Coop.”

Unless that’s preliminary and he hasn’t been ruled out, but I’d imagine pursuing the waiver for him isn’t very promising?

It's the right decision... come back strong next season and dominate.

This is huge for next season too... that'll give us a starting group of Cooper-Togai-Vincent-Smith which is very good.

Obviously at DT we could go a number of ways.

Re: Cooper was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten selection last year as a true junior. He has 49 tackles in his career, along with 10.5 tackles-for-loss and 5.5 quarterback sacks.

Wow just saw this. Feel for him as it's not an easy decision, but glad he'll have more time to get healthy and get the most out of his last year. Also interested to see if he'll play that last game and which it would be.
