LB Dorian Bell (transfer to Duquesne)

ESPN stated on College Football Live today that Dorain Bell had transferred. They were talking about the current players that were named in the SI story, and said he wasn't one of them, since he had transferred.

I don't have any other source that confirms that information.

It was on a graphic that was up when the host (Anish Shroff) was interviewing Joe Schad.

They didn't act like it was news about Bell, it was just stated matter-of-factly.

I don't think they're correct, wouldn't be the first time. Bell hasn't made any official transfer plans known.

It wouldn't surprise me at this point if some ESPN lackey stumbled upon the Bell to Pitt rumor from early May (refuted by Bell's father and Pitt's coach) and didn't bother to look any further. I imagine the conversations in the ESPN "news room" sound a lot like this:

Producer: Anybody got some more dirt on Ohio State?

Lackey: I heard one of the players named in the SI article transferred.

Producer: Which one, Pryor?

Lackey: No, I can't remember the name. Maybe something starting with a 'D'.

Producer: (looks at roster) Doran Grant...Dorian Bell...

Lackey: That sounds right.

Producer: Which one?

Lackey: Uhhhh.......

Producer: Run with it.

Yup. They'll all print their retractions in two weeks when people are burned out on Ohio State stories and won't read anymore of them.

Dorian is the 6th Buckeye who wasn't named in the report to the NCAA. 'Course he was already suspended for the season, so I guess it's a moot point.
That was in the Ozone forum. It was posted Rusty Miller of the AP was reporting that he was the sixth person.

If you're curious as to who the mysterious player is named in Ohio State's Response to the NCAA Notice of Allegations, Rusty Miller of the AP has confirmed what my sources have been telling me since Friday: @rustymillerap AP: Source close to #Buckeyes program says LB Dorian Bell was player NCAA suspended last week for 5 games.

If Bell stays and plays for Vrabel....he will make some noise.....so much potential I hope he gets it figured out. He could play along side Bino next year and be a real terror. Go Bucks

Did he redshirt his freshman year? I Was always hyped about this kid coming, but if he didn't redshirt next year would be his last :(
