Glenville has a monopoly on the safety/star position at tOSU. Still remember how Devan Bogard was overlooked last year and Urban now calling him one of his top five guys (probably referring to the freshmen). Worley is going to do similar things here. Welcome to the Buckeye Nation Chris! :osu:

Glenville linebacker Chris Worley orally commits to Ohio State University
Joe Maxse, The Plain Dealer, January 11, 2013

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Chris Worley has decided to play football at Ohio State.

The Glenville senior linebacker made an oral commitment to play for the Buckeyes while on an official visit to the Columbus campus on Friday.

"It's close to home and I liked the coaching staff," said the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Worley. "They offered me a spot earlier in the year and I was blessed and grateful for it. I talked to coach [Ted] Ginn and he said he stood behind me."

Worley is a three-star prospect (out of five) by national scouting service Rivals.com. Worley said he also considered Michigan State and West Virginia.

He had 89 tackles this season for the Tarblooders (8-2), with nine sacks, five interceptions returned for touchdowns and five forced fumbles. For his career, he had 161 tackles, 13 sacks, eight interceptions and seven forced fumbles.

Worley said he may be used at safety in college, where he intends to major in business management or communications.

"I grew up watching Ohio State with Troy Smith," said Worley of the fellow Tarblooder. "It's always been one of my favorite schools. It's a huge load off my shoulders."

Worley, 17, played in Ohio Stadium with the Tarblooders two years ago.

"We won that game and I've gone to a lot of Ohio State games over the years," he said. "It's going to be great going back there."

Could be an instant impact guy on special teams like Brian Rolle was back in the day. One of the consequences of a lack of LB depth is struggles on coverage units for kick offs and punts, which we definitely saw last year. So you have to look at him both as a possible D starter down the line, but also a potentially key special teaser on a national championship contender next season.
