LB Brian Rolle (Official Thread)

To quote a line from "The Natural" (Max Mercy to Roy Hobbs)

"They come and they go, Hobbs. They come and they go."

Thats the way I see it. Great if he "comes" to TOSU, not so great if he "goes" elsewhere. But, whatever happens, hopefully we'll all still wake up on thursday and continue on with our lifes. One player isn't gonna make or break us. Nice peice to the puzzle? Yes. Sky falling? Not even close. Peace.

I think Brian Rolle could play a VERY significant part of our defense in the future. He has speed to burn, and we could use it. If Brian can get up to aorund 225, he would be a monster out there. I do not think this is a case of, "if he comes great, and if he doesn't then oh well." It is more like, "if he comes then it would be a tremendous OOS get, and if not, we could lose a potential AA linebacker."

Another all-everything recruit has decided to play his college football at Florida.
Jacksonville Forrest linebacker Brandon Hicks told the Florida Times-Union today he picked Urban Meyer?s Gators over Miami.
?Me and my family talked about it, prayed about it, and it went back and forth for a long time,? Hicks told the newspaper. ?At one point, I was really thinking it was going to be Miami, but everything about Florida seemed right.?

Immokalee senior Brian Rolle began the road to possibly a fourth straight trip to the state finals by winning the 215 title. Rolle decisioned Palmetto Ridge?s Kenny Pilanco 11-2.

?Winning this year means a lot after all the things I?ve been through and because it?s my last year,? Rolle said. ?We?ve got a lot of young guys, and they?ve worked hard.

?I think it?s going to be pretty hectic at practice this week, before the region. It?s my biggest goal to have the team be state champion. If that doesn?t happen, then I?d definitely like to win at state myself.?

I went to our alumni association annual meeting and dinner last night, and Craig Cassady (Hopalong's son) was the guest speaker. When he opened the floor for questions after his speech, someone asked how recruiting was going, and he said, quote: "We just lost one today, but we're still doing very well". The split second he said that, Rolle popped into mind...

This was probibly in reference to RoJo I would imagine!!! Good that settles that.
