LB Bobby Carpenter (All B1G, National Champion)

Isn't a broken fibula a broken leg, I thought they said fractured ankle yesterday on tv?

But on another note, I'm sure if the NCAA let players play with crutches, he would of been out there playing yesterday.

I'm kinda of stuck between him playing in the bowl game. You know he wants to play, but what else can he do in the scarlet uniform. He has nothing else to prove, and shouldn't risk the rest of his life as in his career just for a bowl game that at this point is meaningless.

Bobby has been a selfless warrior this season. If there is any chance of him jeopardizing a shot at the NFL, I would prefer he sit out the bowl game.

If there's anyone that deserves to fulfill their goal of playing in the NFL, it's Bobby.

Thanks, Bobby!!

I have been watching the Bucks since I was just a little kid and the only time I ever got choked up was in 1987 when Earle was coaching his last game and they carried him off on their shoulders after the victory.

The second time was yesterday when Carp came back out on crutches and you could see how emotional he was and how much he was hurting and it was just terrible to have that happen to such a great kid and a true Buckeye, a great role model.

Bobby, you get my vote for one of the all time greats to play for tOSU. You will be missed next year.

:oh: :io:

It was hurt long before the first play of the game

It's been broken for a good part of the year. He's been a true warrior fighting on it. He was told not to play in this game. When all of this comes out he will be a true Buckeye legend

I vote for a Scarlet Heart award.

When I saw him look into his fellow players eyes when he returned and begin to cry he became one of my favorite players(not that he wasn't already up there). WHAT HEART.
Felt as if he was letting his brothers down. I think it did the opposite.

towards the end of the game, abc cut to carp on the sidelines. through the tears, he was SCREAMING, come on D!!! I couldnt imagine the pain he was in. not just yesterday, but all season. hats off to bobby, and man, he didnt even take his shoulder pads off when he came back out of the locker room. that is the only time in my 18+ yrs watching football on any level that I have ever seen that. what a WARRIOR.

taking him away was huge. We couldnt' really get a consistent pass rush, and that just goes to show you how talented Boddy really is. He effectedour whole game plan to be honest. He did everything. He rushed, tackled, covered the tight end, the flats, the hook zone, ran down running backs, ran down wide recievers. All the while letting all those people know how good he was by adding his .02 from time to time. What a great guy, he's one of my favorite buckeyes. I'll never forget his efforts, or this team for that matter in my life.
