LB A.J. Hawk (2x All-American, Lombardi Trophy, National Champion, Super Bowl Champion)

RugbyBuck said:
SL, how did he ever make that interception? I mean, if he only moved halfway to the ball during each temporal snapshot, how could he ever reach it? Is Hawk so good that he broke the time/space continuum?
True, he was only moving halfway to the ball during each temporal snapshot. The good news is that his knee was only moving halfway to the ground and his body was only moving halfway to the sidelines. One would have in take the limit of all these events as the timestep goes to zero. That is why the officials have instant replay - to postulate what would have happen in the limiting case.

i forgot about that one from 6 weeks ago
You don't remember every stupid thread I start. I'm so hurt.

100 vcash says that Hawk runs a play on offense before he leave OSU.

How do we set up a Vbet? I'll put my 100 Vbucks down for both ways. Hopefully there is an automated service that calls in the markers cause I don't think we'll remember this.

Did anyone have flashbacks to 2002 when we sealed games with interceptions?

So let me get this one straight...

JT will not run a sweep, trick play other than a reverse, or take many shots deep down field.....but you wish to assert that he will put an All-American LB on offense to add some spice? AJ Hawk is a ballhawk with a ton of heart plain and simple...not a tremendous athlete who will amze you with speed, size, or amazing quickness. Yet you feel he will be added to the offensive package?

Please put down the dumbass sandwiches...you are not driving tonight:slappy:

If this bet happens, I'm in there like swimwear

please don't use the "i" word :p. carpenter will be a lot better next year i think. carpenter has the speed and the size but i don't think he has the raw insticts hawk does. but he's going to be another good one. good to see schlagel starting to get on track and make an impact to. still missing alot of tackles though :(. i think we have arguably the best 3 lb's in the country. with the d line finally starting to jell, next year these 3 are going to dominate.

AJ Hawk is not a Butkus Finalist

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Southern California senior Matt Grootegoed on Thursday was named one of three finalists for the Butkus Award, which is presented to the nation's top college linebacker.

<!-- END INLINE UNIT -->A four-year starter for the top-ranked Trojans, Grootegoed was joined by Texas senior Derrick Johnson and Virginia sophomore Ahmad Brooks.

Grootegoed, a semifinalist for the Butkus Award last year, has a team-high four interceptions and 47 tackles, including two sacks.

Johnson, a Butkus finalist in 2003, leads the Longhorns with 107 tackles, including 14 for losses, while setting a school record with eight caused fumbles. On Wednesday, Johnson was named as one of four finalists for the Lombardi Award, given to the nation's top defensive lineman or linebacker.

Brooks paces Virginia with 62 tackles, recording 10 or more in three of the last five games. He has two interceptions and a forced fumble.

The Butkus Award will be presented December 10 by the Downtown Athletic Club of Orlando.

Clarett's situation probably didnt help, but the three game losing streak was most likley the main culprit to AJ not being a finalist. If you look at the three finalist's teams records and AP ranking, they are all much better then Ohio States. AJ will win it next year, hands down.
