Woman stuck by needle in Target parking lot awarded $4.6 million

A jury has awarded a South Carolina woman more than $4.6 million after she was stuck by a hypodermic needle picked up in a Target parking lot.

The Independent-Mail of Anderson reported Carla Denise Garrison's award would be one of the largest in Anderson County history if it stands.

Court documents say the Anderson woman was in the retailer's parking lot in May 2014 when her daughter picked up a hypodermic needle. Garrison swatted it out of her hand and was stuck in her own palm.

Garrison was bedridden because of medication prescribed because of the potential risk of HIV.

The paper reports Garrison's attorney had offered Target a deal of $12,000. The company offered $750 in response.

Clean and patrol your fucking parking lot. These corporations are using the food stamp program to subsidize their shit wages, the local police force as their asset protection and minimum wage employees as their janitors and such.

They're robbing us blind while we blame the people who wok at their stores while telling them they're piecesof shit for working 40 hrs a week.

So what if some junkie dropped that needle there just 5 minutes before that lady let her kid pick it up? This kind of award should be about specific responsibility and negligence, not Walmart's larger societal failings.

I may not be the best person to talk about this, so, I generally won't, but I am currently suing LEGO for a few million for permanent foot damage.

My kid left a LEGO piece on the floor, which should be foreseeable for LEGO designers, as should the severe pain and permanent foot numbness that I now suffer after stepping on said LEGO.

I promise if I win this lawsuit I will donate five bucks to some stupid charity for kids who look funny and probably won't live long enough to spend it.

Man burned by e-cig sues airline for letting him charge it during flight

A Connecticut author who burned his hands on an overheated e-cigarette during a flight is now blaming the airline for allowing him to charge it on board.
