The Grey with Liam Neeson. Thought it was really good. Didn't like the ending, wanted a little more, but all in all, thought the pace was pretty good. A lot more cerebral than action packed. Worth checking out.
I saw that in the theatre and to me it was like watching some cheesey movie on the Sci-Fi channel. Also, having lived in Alaska some of the inconsistencies of the locations in the movie contradicted where they supposedly were in the movie. I guess it would be like you watching a movie based in Detroit but filmed in Texas.

Liked it, didn't love it.

For some reason I've noticed a lot of movies revolving around UK "estates" (government housing) lately. Talk about your soulless urbanscapes.

Why didn't he just go in the sand trap and bury it?

Californication Season 3?

I completely agree with this list.

I personally thought The Avengers was awesome. No, it's not TDK, but it's still well worth the money to go see in theaters and is a well-made movie. It isn't trying to be the epic drama saga that TDK is, it's just a classic super hero movie. A lot of funny parts and of course plenty of action.

Better than Ironman..it's by far the best Marvel movie to date...

Avengers
Ironman
Thor
Captain America
Ironman 2
Hulk

in that order in marvel movies (leading up to avengers) so far...haven't seen any of the X-Men to compare it

I think it's hard to compare TDK and Avengers because of the tone of the movies, TDK/Nolan is going for serious/realism aspect of the movie..Marvel is more goofier/comedic to me

I was hoping for some more wolf violence, so in that respect, I was disappointed. Having never lived in Alaska, the location problems you saw were lost on me.

The plane went down somewhere between Prudhoe Bay and Anchorage. The terrain doesn't look anything like that up there. Also, there's no way any of those streams thaw out anytime before may. A lot of them and still partially frozen when the snow is almost gone.

Wait, you saw all of this before you fell asleep?

Son and I watched a dreadful Charles Bronson movie last night on TV, Death Wish 3. Great body count, but the exact same plot as all of his other movies. Of note, Alex Winter from Bill and Ted was one of the punks who met his maker.

Watch Breakheart Pass if you like Bronson (and you haven't seen it)...it's much, much better.

Breakheart Pass is excellent, an Allistar MacLean story. Death Hunt is also good with Lee Marvin, and of course he is good in the Dirty Dozen and the Magnificent Seven. My favorite Bronson movie is Mr. Majestyk.
