While I was in Ohio, my brother-in-law and I took my son to see Tron: Legacy in 3D.

I liked it and thought it followed up the first one pretty well, but my son was a bit lost because he has not seen the first one. It does have some really cool scenes, and the 3D was not the over the top in your face stuff that some movies try.

Overall I would give it a 6-6.5/10.

I was really surprised that Disney didn't have a DVD/Blu-Ray release of the original a few months before the new one hit the theaters.

They really dropped the ball there.

I was surprised by this, also. I wanted my son to see the first one before I took him to see Legacy, but could not find it anywhere.

True Grit was TERRIBLE. The movie trailer made it seem like a shoot 'em up Old Western, which was not even close to the plot of this movie. Unless you enjoy watching grumpy old men befriend teenage girls during a journey together, don't bother watching this one.

Exact opposite view. I loved True Grit. I was surprised by the humor and I thought the realism of the period was right on. Bridges and Damon were top notch as usual and I felt there was tremendous tension throughout the entire movie. Plus there was enough action to keep me in the story. If you want a shoot 'em up go see Cowboys and Aliens when it comes out.
