We had the niece and nephew over last night, and they picked this one:

"Furry Vengeance" - one of the biggest turds I've seen: its 8% score on Rotten Tomatoes was too generous. It was just one cheesy pratfall with bad CGI after another for what seemed like 3 hours... Has anybody accepted more terrible roles over a film career than Brendan Fraser??

Exact opposite view. I loved True Grit. I was surprised by the humor and I thought the realism of the period was right on. Bridges and Damon were top notch as usual and I felt there was tremendous tension throughout the entire movie. Plus there was enough action to keep me in the story. If you want a shoot 'em up go see Cowboys and Aliens when it comes out.

Watch the movie trailer. Every single scene where there was some action was displayed in the trailer. It simply was not what I anticipated, especially after they made sure to point out they also produced "No Country for Old Men."

Also, thanks for the tip smart guy! In the future, I will be sure to suggest any movies that display great "realism." Homo...

Either Brendan Fraser's agent hates him, or Brendan Fraser tries his best to look like a douche. He seriously has the worst resume for a well-known actor ever. Take away Crash and The Mummy (and still, The Mummy is probably his second best movie, lol) and his next best movie is what... Encino Man?

Girl With a Dragon Tattoo....pretty awesome. Looking forward to the next 2.

It's a Swedish movie so I watched it dubbed. They're re-making it in English and following the trilogy but I definately recommend it. The books are supposedly very good as well.

yeah, I can't decide what to do with these. Read the books, which are always better, watch the swedish version, or just wait for the Americanized remake.

decisions decisions.

The Quiet American was a good one, and Monkeybone was obviously epic

Watched the first two swedish movies and both were awesome. 8.5/10. They will surely screw up the American version. Go out and get these movies ASAP.

Edit: They are both out on blu ray at redbox FYI.

Gods & Monsters and The Air I Breathe are both solid films.

I liked Blast From the Past (note I'm not saying a great film) and Inkheart was surprisingly well done.

But yeah his script selection over the years has been terrible (ditto the aforementioned Gooding Jr). Dwayne Johnson seems to be headed down the same craptacular road as well.

Watch the original film versions; subtitled not dubbed.

Guess I stopped watching him after Monkeybone (with the exception of Crash), so I shouldn't comment on his career choices. :tongue2:
