Inception. Great filmography and a fresh, innovative approach in a business filled with copycats. DiCaprio was tremendous as usual, Ellen Page was quite poor as noted. Great chase scenes, and the hotel hallway fight scenes were a lot of fun and different. It had so much hype that it was tough to live up to that, but it was still an excellent movie.

Legends of the Guardians. Outstanding visuals/animation and nothing else. The wife and I really enjoy animated films, even when they are geared towards kids, but this was pretty lousy. Children will enjoy it but it was not well made enough for adults like Pixar films are (or even most dreamworks animations).

Despicable Me is next on the docket. It was out of stock last night.

Harry Brown-British version of Death Wish, basically. Michael Caine was excellent as usual, in a rather understated performance.

Angel Heart-watched this again and all I can say is
Lisa Bonet-DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!

Finally saw the town. Was disappointed because of the hype it got. 6.5/10. It was good but not great. It was just meh. It couldn't keep me from reading ken gordon's tweets at some parts of the movie, I was that uninterested.

RIP Pete Postlethwaite....

We went to see Black Swan. very Aronofskyish. Seeing that Natalie Portman can indeed act and act well, furthers the obvious issues that Lucas has as a writer.

Will be interesting to see what Aronofsky does with Wolverine.

How to Train Your Dragon.

Great animation, good characters, great flying scenes, very good disney-type of animated film (not quite pixar though). Very good kids film that is enjoyable for adults who enjoy that genre.

Sounds like an instant "straight to the Walmart bargain bin".

Apparently she's making a pretty good living making these movies. And yes, it goes straight to the Walmart bargain bin. Never seen one, but I am intrigued...
