Holmes was awesome. Didn't start sluggish, the logic aspect of it is great - the little details and smalls twists have wondering how or why you never noticed.

I saw Holmes last night and I agree w/ your review-Jude Law was much better as a straight man than I expected, and Rachel McAdams was haaaawt.

I watched the first 60 minutes of Public Enemies and turned it off. Just did not entertain me.

I wouldn't compare it to Batman-the villain was pretty run of the mill, and there wasn't any social commentary in the script. More like Austin Powers.
