First time seeing Natalie Martinez (Pena's character's wife), she's a cutie too. The white young cop also, though she looks like a giant next to America Ferrera.

I thought Gyllenhaal and Pena had a natural bromance that translated well over to screen. A lot of stereotypical comments, but that's what 20-something guys do in all walks of life.

Watched End of Watch again. Don't know what I was thinking in my first review. Liked that movie way more than 7/10 back then. Acted like I was a tough critic...movie is awesome. 9/10. :lol:

Speaking of End of Watch - the entire time I was watching it I was just waiting for it to switch over to a conspiracy movie with the two of them on the run, being hunted by government agents/ebil contractors for stumbling across a covert operation & seeing too much.

Bizarre & cheezy but I loved it. If you like Bubba Ho-Tep or My Name is Bruce (note Bruce Campbell is not JDATE but he should be) then you should dig this.

I'm off to get the book now.

Can't believe I'd never gotten around to watching this before. I love John Cusack & Billy Bob Thorton. The opening sequence showing planes flying over the NYC skyline was a bit of a 'wow' moment (the movie was filmed in 99 & the WTC is very prominent in the shots).

Liked it a lot. Wish they would've kept a couple cheesy parts out, but aside from those, I thought it was fantastic. They made a movie kind of original by taking lots of pieces from many other movies though. :lol:
