Dumbo.

The racism of the crows is often discussed, but I didn't realize the faceless african american workers depicted in one trippy scene early on (especially since the medium skin toned workers had some facial features and the white ones had full faces).

Total Recall (new one)

Thought it was done pretty well. Same story line, but different. Loved all of the homages to the original (like the tri-titty woman, and the little red headed fat lady in the green dress going through security). Not the greatest movie in the world, but entertaining and held my attention all the way through.

Watching Gran Torino again. Why? Because Clint Eastwood is the only one left in Hollywood not trying to do fucking garbage comic book bullshit and even at 80 fucking years old he's still a bigger badass than Batman 12 and Green Lantern 3 and Iron Man 5....

Only one left telling a story...

If you haven't already seen it I highly recommend getting Harry Brown.

Googled it. Oh I like Michael Caine. I'll check this out. I am sooo over the Hollywood remakes and sequals. Jesus, where are the talented story tellers?

The scene where Caine switches in a moment from the doddering pensioner to the steely eyed commando is up there among my all time favorites.
