Pain and Gain.

Terrible. Just freakin' awful. I guess, I just didn't get it. The movie wanted to be a comedy, but it's based on glamorizing and supremely exaggerating a true life story of kidnap, torture, extortion, and murder. And even then it wasn't funny. If I was the family of one of the victims I don't know if I'd be more [censored]ed that the movie made a humorous attempt to glorify these bumbling criminals or that the movie failed so terribly at doing so. Waste of 2 hours.

Marky Mark- you're cool. The Rock- [censored] you, this is your fault.

Michael. Bay.

From 1991 (and my childhood), "Necessary Roughness" on CW.

I can't believe Scott Bakula was only 37 in the movie (playing a 34-year-old).

"Andre is a vegetarian" and I forgot how many soft references there were to Penn State.

Finally popped in Martha Marcy May Marlene last night. Excellent movie with good acting. It is a slow pace (much like a Ti West or The Shining kind of thing) but still keeps you interested if you don't mind that. The Other Olsen deserved all the praise she got for this role. Ending was open ended, so if you are disappointed by those, it wil knock it down a star for you. I will go 4/5 though, definitely in the upper echelon of films from the decade so far. Some elements were predictable, but many others were sutle, such that if you picked up on them the movie will make a lot more sense and you will really appreciate what high quality it is.
