Finally saw Battleship last week. I didn't think it was as bad as people were making it out to be. Maybe because I went into it with zero expectations.

 The old "It couldn't suck worse than I thought it would going in" strategy...

Taken 2- weak. Should have known going in considering the whole premise doesn't make sense (bad guys that abduct women for sex slave trade are upset because some guys got killed by one of the girl's father in the process of said illegal activities? I think they know they would lose some soldiers in that business, but hey "Let's go after that guy that embarrassed us last time! Flawless!").

And while Liam Neeson is a certified badass, the bad guys are extra extra bad at their jobs in this one. Comical effort all around.

My Brother's Keeper. 5/5 Really a strange story, but IMO the correct outcome came of the situation. I know it was a documentary, but that ME seemed to be playing a character as I never met anyone who acts that way in real life.

Into The Abyss

Into-The-Abyss-2012-Front-Cover-65306.jpg

Werner Herzog documentary on two death row inmates in Texas.

Some very poignant interviews (Burkett's father, the brother of one victim, the daughter another & former correction officer Fred Allen who oversaw executions in TX before resigning) along with some that just make you want to wash your hands of humanity entirely (Micheal Perry, Burkett's wife & random TX white trash).

I hotlinked another one.

I did the same thing in another thread after I pointed it out here. lol

I'm just relieved that you weren't talking about the The Gray (the first movie that came to mind when you mentioned Alaska) as it wasn't overly difficult to follow.
