Recently picked up Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu.......watched The Phantom Menace last night. Not as awful as I thought it was the first time I saw it. The CGI addition of Yoda over that turrible puppet they used the first go around was a HUGE save.
A puppet, Yoda is?????????

This is not a good movie.

That being said Peter Berg's enthusiasm and genuine affection for veterans makes for some moments. Who else would cast a double amputee Lt. Colonel with an actual double amputee Colonel?

Oh and Brooklyn Decker is crazy hot in cut off shorts.

I really liked it. How often do you get to see Robert Downey Jr punch a little kid in the stomach AND spit in a dog's face in the same film?!
Reason I watched it was Downey.. but it was such a copycat I couldn't get there...

You throw Downey, Galifianakis and Jamie Foxx together.. you should have something.. these guys must need money

Planes, Trains & Automobiles is one of my favorite comedies but I still enjoyed this one...mainly because of Downey's character. He is brilliant as the guy who is wound way too tight and who has serious anger management issues. The rest of the movie aside, that performance is worth the price of admission.

We just watched this the other day. Downey's character is very good, and there's some touching moments by Galifinakas regarding his dad...but I felt overall it was just too mean spirited to be really funny and it doesn't have the heart that Planes, Trains & Automobiles has.

Watched a documentary. I can't recommend it enough and i'm not really going to describe it.

It's called "Dear Zachary" and I hope you get the chance to watch it. About 90 mins long and you can stream it on NetFlix, I strongly encourage you to check it out.

dear zachary is an outstanding but heart-wrenching documentary. i definitely recommend not reading up on the film before watching it, though. you'll understand why.

this is an outstanding but truly painful documentary. despite being so heart-rending, i highly recommend it. as i've stated earlier in the thread, though, do not read about the detailed plot prior to viewing. i will warn you that there is a point when the documentary takes your heart, squeezes it, stomps on it, and then throws it in an incinerator. yes, i'm still recommending it.

Good lord was that traumatic.

There were some choices the director made that I did not care for, but overall........ouch. :(

Finally saw Dear Zachary...fucking fuck. That's all I can really say, fucking fuck.

Finally got this from Netflix.

Wow. I can't think of another documentary that has affected me so much on an emotional level. Watching David Bagby's brutal honesty is just heart rending and something I empathized with on a personal level.

I actually fell in love with him and Kate.
