Shutter Island - nice suspense film, although a lot of the music/sound/lighting choices seemed particularly over the top and cliche to me.

PARTIAL SPOILER ALERT

I was torn between watching this for the first time or Memento again. You'd think I might have been able to figure it out a bit earlier.

Man from Earth - I liked it.. 7/10
Catfish - could not stay engaged.. fell asleep.. a couple times
Red State - intense in spots.. 5/10
Haywire - not so much.. poor mans version of Bourne flicks.. and those aren't any good anyways

Sheitan...foreign horror movie of some acclaim. I would say it was decent, not great, but the average foreign horror flick is light years ahead of the average American horror flick. The chicks were nice to look at and not entirely stupid, the acting was OK, and they got some actually creepy looking people to play some other parts...all in all not bad.

Saw Avengers yesterday, loved it. Lots of action, good one liners, and scarlett johansson in black leather. What more could a guy want from a PG13 movie

The scene shot from behind her when she is talking to Loki it worth the price of 3D alone.

Awesome movie. Lots of action, and humor. Two scence after the credits, one to set up the next movie and a second one that is just there for humor.

'Avengers'...unseats 'The Dark Knight' as the new standard for super-hero flicks, and that's hefty praise, as I didn't think it was possible. Just all-around amazing...10/10
This pleases me.

I'll definitely look to see this movie this week.

'The Dark Knight Rises' opens in a month and 1/2 & it looks even darker and crazier than 'The Dark Knight'. Cannot wait for the conclusion to the series.

Watched a little French-Canadian Indie horror/crime/thriller/whatever called "7 Days" this weekend. Basically about a Dr. whose young daughter is raped and murdered, and when they catch the suspect, he devises a plan...

Good film, but one of those that even though I thought it was good I also think it could have been even much better had they explored an angle or two a bit more and focused more on those. The lead actor did a fantastic job though and I would recommend for smaller cinema fans.

Avengers. Everyone already said it. Really a fun movie. I was laughing quite a bit at all of the one-liners and shtick they were doing in some scenes (Hulk and Thor, for one). I might actually go see it again in the theater (something I rarely ever do).

I would have to give this one 10/10 purely from the special effects and overall enjoyment this movie brings.
