Finally saw it last night. Wasn't something I thought I'd enjoy...but the buildup & powerful finale ended up sucking me in.

Still don't understand why people think Mila is a hottie though. She's still the semi-cute annoying chick who won't shut up that you only go home with because there's no one else around at last call.

So I was bored yesterday and watched Scott Pilgrim vs The World and Kick Ass.

Scott Pilgrim was just meh, IMO, but I am not a big fan of Micheal Cera.

Kick Ass was not what I was expecting, but was a fun film. I was rooting hard for Hit Girl by the end. She is a bad ass little Mo-Fo. :lol:

Blockbuster is running a special on new releases, so we got 2 Sunday since the weather was so crappy and the Indians were rained out:

Invictus: Didn't catch this when it actually came out, but I really enjoyed it. It had a few Disney-esque hokey moments, but overall I thought it was pretty good and Morgan Freeman as usual was outstanding. Solid 3/4

The Fighter: I was actually a touch disappointed by this. Christian Bale was awesome playing such a complex character, but Marky Mark played basically what he always does (Invincible V3.0, overcome odds, bang the chick, blah blah blah) and I didn't think the chick who played the mother was in the movie enough to really warrant an Oscar. The story is a good one, but it just didn't do it for me. 2 1/2 out of 4 maybe.

it was his life story. Perhaps in the future someone else will market or script a narrative more to your liking :wink:

That said, I struggle to envision any way that book would succeed as a movie, other than a weak money grab.
