Part of a diet I started in September...I'veonly failed one time in 2 months.
But more to the point, I'm not taking the bait....I thought the freedom fries thing was stupid when it happened...
Yet with time, patience and the stomach to see it through, the feds have made the Mafia almost into an underground association now.
It's not going to be fast. It's going to probably take decades. But if we don't bother to try, more attacks are coming.
Yes this means boots on the ground.
He means we need terrorist safe spaces.
Honestly, I don't think there's anything "the West" can do that will really matter or get ISIS/AQ/etc. to stop and disappear.
I don't want to speak for anyone else - but - I do think it's important to understand why planes smashed into towers back in 2001. I hope the "they hate us because we're free" rhetoric has gone away - but I'm pretty tuned out without TV. Not passing judgment on anyone here or their opinions, but, we ought to look at the root cause of things. I guess I would start with France and Britain re-drawing the Ottoman Empire after the first World War (or half-time of the only World War depending on your flavor). You seem like you are justifying their attack. Why?
I think it's beyond ridiculous that we have things like the Patriot Act, the NSA and the NDAA - yet our borders are wide open. What's the point of having a border today if you don't secure it like your life depends on it? Because, as we can see, it does.
Maybe. So what? The British probably would have much preferred not to fight that war. Sometimes the enemy is at war with you, whether you like it not. It's hard to imagine someone wanting to fight less than Obama has already. And like Al Quaeda before them, ISIS isn't seeking Independence. Their revolution is to bring about the end of days. Death cults man.The eternal lesson of the American revolutionary war was that a centralized military cannot defeat a radically decentralized resistance. Obama understands that.
- Stop propping these [Mark May]bags up to fight our proxy wars.. AQ vs Russia & ISIS vs Assad - both worked out well.
- Get out of Saudi Arabia.
- Stop dropping bombs on country's we haven't declared war with.
- Stop sending billions of dollars to Israel and her enemies. (If I were President, I would end all foreign aid. Don't get me wrong - let's help when help is needed and continue to be the most generous country in the world - but lets cut the horse[Mark May].. we broke.)
The Mafia was cut off by state Attorney Generals, DEA, FBI, and the IRS. ISIS won't be so easy. The problem is the religious ideology that breeds it. Kill ISIS, and something even worse will just sprout in its place behind it. Boots on the ground will solve the imminent threat. But the region is 5,000 years of festering holy war and would only breed something new we can't comprehend yet.
Not saying war is a bad option - I think it's now inevitable, - rather just resigned myself to the idea this is probably unwinnable in the sense there will never be a conclusion. Maybe Trump can build a wall around them and pen them in?

I figured out how Obama is going to get troops to Syria and not put boots on the ground.
He is going to dispatch an all woman and transgendered special ops division and they will put heels on the ground instead.
That [Mark May] doesn't matter to them anymore. Might it help lower their recruitment numbers and lessen the propaganda seen as "true" by the people they recruit? Yeah, it probably would. However, they've moved well past only wanting "the West" out of the region, they just want us destroyed or to at least constantly terrorize and kill via attacks like this. Look at how they're recruiting and who they're appealing to. This isn't just about their region anymore.
