Yet with time, patience and the stomach to see it through, the feds have made the Mafia almost into an underground association now.

It's not going to be fast. It's going to probably take decades. But if we don't bother to try, more attacks are coming.

Yep. As much as I hate it, there's really no way to truly kill off these maniacs. You can only hope to attempt to keep them from being attracted to attack in a Western country. Even if the followers and leaders of Islam manage to minimize the maniacs and keep them from power, they'll find other avenues, and others seeking power and chaos will take the banner of radical Islam for their own to try and seduce weak-minded individuals to their cause.

While I agree, ISIS is the enemy of humanity - we need more than just putting to death this group. You realistically can't kill all their members. The ideology itself needs to be reduced to ashes.
How does the world go about that? ... I have zero idea.

This will accomplish little, IMO. As long as the Israel/Palestine situation is what it is, there will never be anything resembling peace in the ME.

Well.. You know some folks see the value in standing up for western civilization and basic freedom. Others.. Don't. Me. I'm a freedom of expression guy. Press. Religion. Speech. Cartoons. Internet message boards. I'm not really for safe spaces or terrorists.
