Not hearsay.

Old samples were tested with current technology and tested positive.

Look at all of the racers in those years that finished in the top 10 of the Tour and see how many have admitted to doping? They did a big article on it in "Bicycling" a few months back.

AND Armstong supposedly beat all of those guys "clean."

Come on Mili, you're not that naive are you?

:roll1: If old samples can be tested with today's technology and hold up in court, then why the fuck did Ryan Braun get away unscathed in his entire situation? His samples were one weekend old, and they were thrown out because protocol wasn't followed.

What is the cycling federation's protocol exactly in this situation?

This should make things interesting.

http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/50369958/ns/sports-cycling/

AUSTIN, Texas - The New York Times reported Friday that Lance Armstrong, who has strongly denied the doping charges that led to him being stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, has told associates he is considering admitting to the use of performance-enhancing drugs.

The report cited anonymous sources and said Armstrong was considering a confession to help restore his athletic career in triathlons and running events at age 41. Armstrong was been banned for life from cycling and cannot compete in athletic events sanctioned by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Yet Armstrong attorney Tim Herman denied that Armstrong has reached out to USADA chief executive Travis Tygart and David Howman, director general of the World Anti-Doping Agency.

Herman told The Associated Press he had no knowledge of Armstrong considering a confession and said: "When, and if, Lance has something to say, there won't be any secret about it."

Armstrong, who recovered from testicular cancer that had spread to his lungs and brain, won the Tour de France from 1999-2005. Although he has vehemently denied doping, Armstrong's athletic career crumbled under the weight of a massive report by USADA detailing allegations of drug use by Armstrong and his teammates on his U.S. Postal Service teams.

The report caused Armstrong to lose most of his personal corporate sponsors and he recently stepped down from the board of Livestrong, the cancer-fighting charity he founded in 1997.

Armstrong is facing other legal hurdles.

The U.S. Department of Justice is considering whether to join a federal whistle-blower lawsuit filed by former Armstrong teammate Floyd Landis. A Dallas-based promotions company has also said it wants to recover several million dollars paid to Armstrong in bonuses for winning the Tour de France. The British newspaper The Sunday Times has sued Armstrong to recover $500,000 paid to him to settle a libel lawsuit.

Whatever benefit of the doubt still remained is completely gone. Armstrong is not only a liar and a cheater, he's a selfish, vindictive person who sent attack dog lawyers after people who told the truth about him. He used resources only available to him as the result of cheating AND the sympathy afforded him by millions of fans, to destroy the lives of people who lacked the means to fight back. If you dislike Barry Bonds, you have to HATE Lance Armstrong.

What? His foundation has raised money for cancer research? Spare me. Al Capone ran soup kitchens. "But you don't know what it's like to have a family member with cancer." The hell I don't - lost my mom to it, for starters. Livestrong money might as well be blood money. It was raised by a lie, perpetuated by despicable behavior. Lance's crocodile tears now don't move me at all.

Fuck Lance Armstrong. I'm sorry I ever cheered for him or defended him. He's dead to me now.

After seeing past interviews all over the place lately, dude was one hell of a liar.

I'm watching Outside the Lines air an interview from 2006 and Bob Ley is bringing up all these quotes, testimonies, etc. Lance is so confident with his answers. It's pretty impressive. It's almost like he believes it.

[censored] Lance Armstrong. I'm sorry I ever cheered for him or defended him. He's dead to me now.

Agreed......But the "blood money" thing is a bit too much bro. There's a difference between killing someone and cheating in a sporting event. Need to separate the two. But Ill agree I have totally flipped my view on this turd.

He did separate the two. Jake mentioned all the despicable shit that Armstrong did to cover up cheating in a sport. I can't speak for Jake, but if it was just cheating, then I wouldn't feel the same way that Jake does about this steaming pile of shit. Since it's about more than that, I absolutely feel that way.

If that's separation, I'd love to see what combining the two would be.....

He didn't separation shit and you know it. He compared Armstrong to fuckin Al Capone....Armstrong is a lot of things, he isn't Al Capone

World's most famous/infamous cyclist finally admits he has been living a lie for 20 years after destroying many peoples' lives, fabricating stories, doing interviews, making himself into a false hero.. and we're talking about how Jake did or did not separate Armstrong from Capone in his quote. I think the point was that Armstrong is a bad dude even though he raised money for cancer.

Back to the shit that's important..

He compared Al Capone to Lance Armstrong. Then said the money raised by Armstrong was "blood money".

Im sorry man, I love sports, but there was need be no comparison between those two guys.

As for Armstrong, did he cheat? Yup. Did he lie? Yup. Did he ruin anyones LIFE? Not only no, but HELL NO! Its a sport, he ruined only his career.
