Lamarcus Joyner (DB New York Jets)

The level headed ND fans (there are some, I swear!) still seem to feel LJ is a pipe dream. The overall impression is that the visit went well but they had so much ground to make up and it wasn't the type of "oh, wowza!" visit to do it.

The list of prospects that are starting to sour on the Noles is pretty ridiculous. Top-10 Athlon Consensus 100 names like LaMarcus Joyner and Jeff Luc have cooled on Florida State. Joyner, at one point, was a Florida State silent commit with Ohio State being the only other team in the mix. It appears now that FSU and Ohio State will be joined by Florida and Notre Dame in the fight for the top corner in the nation.

ST. THOMAS AQUINAS 49, McARTHUR 7

Dorsett's 3 TDs lead Aquinas to victory

BY EVAN DREXLER
Miami Herald Writer

The outcome was never in doubt in St. Thomas Aquinas' victory against McArthur on Friday night.

The only question was how lopsided would be final margin would be.
The Raiders answered emphatically: 42 points.

. . .

On the Raiders' second possession, Lamarcus Joyner started with a 30-yard rush to the 9-yard line, and James White finished on the next play with a 9-yard touchdown run to the right side.

I posted this on the Scout board as well. It's already been refuted by nevada.

You need a subscription (which I don't have) to read more than the teaser I've pasted below.

* We begin immediately with some solid feedback from the visits taken at the USC game. The Irish appear to have taken the lead on a Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas cornerback Lamarcus Joyner.

The week heading into the game, most didn't even know Joyner was on Notre Dame's radar and vice versa. Now, with an offer to Joyner and a visit from him, the Irish may have pulled to the .....

St. Thomas Aquinas shuts out Deerfield Beach
BY ADAM H. BEASLEY

St. Thomas Aquinas' second-leading rusher was a safety, its starting quarterback left the game with an ankle injury and the usually ball-conscious Raiders turned it over twice.
. . .
Smith moved two-way threat Lamarcus Joyner, normally a defensive back, to the backfield to complement starter James White. Combined, they tallied 207 yards on 27 carries (16 for 127 for White, 11 for 80 for Joyner) and two scores.
