On to the next one...

As far as the Justin Boren's animosity towards RR... Being his room mate, I can tell you the second he came to Columbus it was apparent there was a lot of bad blood between he and RR....

Yes, and a lot had to do with RR not want to recruit his brother.

As for Kyle, glad to have him if he does not flip again.

Always a shame to lose a quality player. If the sanctions turn out to be light, perhaps he changes his mind again, but I guess I wouldn't expect that. So, at least we get the news early enough that we can pursue other OLinemen.

I have no ill will towards Kalis, but I also do not wish the best of luck to anyone choosing to play for TSUN. I certainly don't want him to get injured or anything like that, but I'd prefer him to lose every single college game of his life if that's where he wants to go.

Amen. :osu:

Buckeyes get third commitment to 2012 class

The Buckeyes have added commitment No.3 to the 2012 class, offensive lineman Kyle Kalis of Lakewood (St. Edward). The 6-foot-5, 310-pound Kalis picked OSU over Wisconsin and Pittsburgh, but really, it was OSU and AYO as far as he was concerned.

?It?s my dream school, and I already knew once I got the (scholarship) offer that I didn?t want to waste any time,? Kalis said.

He added, ?I wanted to get the ball rolling and start to mold the class of 2012.?

That class already included running back Warren Ball of DeSales High School in Columbus and linebacker/defensive end Joshua Perry of Olentangy High School just north of Columbus.

Kalis said his mental tie to Ohio State runs deep.

?I?ve been thinking about going there ever since I was a kid,? Kalis said. ?Once I got the offer, I coulnd?t think of anything negative coming out of committing early.

?Everything about Ohio State I love, and I cannot wait to become a Buckeye.?

I have to begin by saying, I have no inside info, nor have I ever met Kyle.
I have a 16 year old son who is very immature. I don't want to describe him as manic/depressive, but he is very prone to being skyhigh on something until the first hint of trouble sets in.

As a result, I don't see Kyle as having a charter problem, or a bad blood problem. I'm in the camp, that I don't care what he says now. Somewhere around Christmas, I'll believe Kyle is ENTIRELY comfortable with his decision.

No, or are you saying they are on probation until 2013? Simple yes or no would of sufficed.

They were put on a three year probation in 2010. There may have been a mention of it on BP. :p

He will start to build a bond with his future teammates and coaches at UM. He is gone and we should move on. Much the same way I think Pittman and Dodson are gone. Those two may not have as many future teammates to bond with at this stage but they are building a relationship with their future position and head coaches.

What is comical is the talk I've seen that UM possibly likes him at guard. This is a future NFL right tackle that some UM fans (not the intelligent ones that post here) think they have the luxury of moving to guard.

I think part of the reason Kalis made the switch is the bond he already had with Tom Strobel and Chris Wormley. He is good friends with Strobel and he has a lot of respect for Wormley's game.

And I don't think the UM staff likes him at guard, I think that is just where he may potentially wind up.

Michigan commits Erik Magnuson (6'6, 275 lbs., #34 player in nation according to Rivals), Blake Bars (6'5, 270, 4* on Rivals), and Ben Braden (6'7, 315, run of the mill MI 3*) are all scouted by the major services as OT's, and Michigan is still very much in it with Jordan Diamond and Zach Banner (who are both stricly OT's, and who are both taking OV's to Ann Arbor) and possibly on the outside looking in at Andrus Peat (cut his list to a top 8, MI is in that group and he took an unofficial to Ann Arbor about a month back and may take an OV in the fall) and Josh Garnett (who has scheduled an OV for the Nebraska game).

I'd say Diamond is most likely for UM from that group of 4, Banner next, and then the other 2 are more or less longish type shots.

I don't know about the rest of you but I know I'll sleep better having the complete rundown of scUM's recruiting efforts endlessly reposted by the gaggle of trolls we have here recently.

I know, I know, I know they're just here to get information on Ohio kids, I'm just a big meanie.

I'm with you, I could care less about scUM's recruiting efforts. Good job for them, they could snatch some OH kids when we're about to be sanctioned. Fact of the matter is, our roster is so stacked that it will still be years before they are an competition for us, lol
