Kevin Wilson (HC Tulsa)

A more competant IU Football program is good for the Big10, correct?
It would, but this would be the equivalent of Miss State suddenly becoming a threat to win the conference. They have no history to speak of, so if they rise to making the Alamo Bowl consistently, it would be impressive.

Before the radio show excerpt was aired, I had a pretty high opinion of Wilson. Not anymore; what a self-important bully. If you can't take a little light-hearted banter about what has been undeniably a pathetic program, you need to get a life.

Wilson may or may not be "successful" at IU (success is measured there using a pretty low bar), but I'd never want my kids playing for the guy.

I have a couple of friends from Indiana, and after Gunner signed on they were boasting that Indiana football is BACK!!!! So to make sure I wasn't missing anything I did some research.

First season - 1887
Conference Championships- 2 (1945, 1967)
3-6-0 Bowl Record - 9 total bowl games in 120 seasons
Games against "rival" Purdue - 37-70-6 (.327)
Conference record - 193-458-23 (.303)
Overall record - 450-616-45 (.425)

Now what exactly would being "BACK!!!" consist of? A bowl game? Because they are acting as if they are going to contend for the Big Ten in a couple years.

Don't forget to also remind them of the fact that over the last 51 games against us, IU has won two (1987 and 1988). That's 2-47-2 against us, which includes a 31-game winless streak before those two wins (0-30-1, including a 23-game losing streak) and the current 19-game winless streak (which includes the current 17-game losing streak).

Asshole hosts. I applaud Coach Wilson.

I'm laughing at Coach Wilson. He sounded like some small town high school coach, not a Big Ten coach.

Could you imagine Tressel, or Fickell for that matter, acting that way?

I was being sarcastic in a way, I neglected the fact that sarcasm over the internet doesn't work out too well.

Both parties were at fault. The coach definitely didn't have a sense of humor and came off as a bit of a baby. However, the radio hosts were beyond unprofessional in their response--called him a joke, said they were disappointed in him, said he was in over his head, called him an ass, said they'd tell other coaches to run up the score on IU. Bush league radio, IMO.

The 'Jack' in Zakk and Jack is Jack Trudeau, who was a very successful QB at Illinois under Mike White in the '80s. He led them to a Rose Bowl, was the runnerup to Doug Flutie for the Davey O'Brien trophy in 1984, and spent several years in the NFL.
Also, he of the following rap-sheet:

Assaulting a police officer (1987)
DUI (1990)
Contributing to the delinquency of minors (2007, supplied alcohol to some HS seniors)

And finally, being a douchebag.
