Wilson's offenses at IU...keep in mind, IU traditionally has been bottom of the barrel in the B1G in terms of talent...

2011: 72.5 plays / 360.4 ypg / 21.4 ppg
Mulligan. First year on the job with a lousy team

2012: 78.3 plays / 442.0 ypg / 30.8 ppg
Pass-heavy attack (311.2 ypg). Put scares in tOSU (49-52L) and Sparty (27-31L).

2013: 77.3 Plays / 508.5 ypg / 38.4 ppg
More balanced attack (306.7 pass / 201.8 rush). Beat Ped Aggy (44-24), put scares in scUM (47-63) and Sparty (28-42)

2014: 71.0 plays / 405.0 ypg / 25.1 ppg
Hurt by QB injury, forced to rely on true freshman. Run-Heavy offense (141.4 pass / 263.6 run). Tevin Coleman ran for 2036 yards (7.5 ypc). Beat #18 Mizzou (31-27), Hung w/tOSU (27-42, I was at that game...it was VERY scary for 3 quarters).

2015: 81 Plays / 504.3 ypg / 36.5 ppg
Fairly balanced attack (293.8 pass / 210.5 run). QB went for 3500+ / 27-7 TD-INT, Two 1000 yard rushers. Put scares in #1 tOSU (27-34), #10 Iowa (27-35), and #15 scUM (41-48).

2016: 76.2 plays / 426.0 ypg / 25.8 ppg
Pass-heavy attack (273.8 pass / 152.2 run). Beat Sparty (27-24), Played #2 tOSU tough, Put scares in #10 Corn (22-27), #12 Ped Aggy (31-45), and #4 scUM (10-20)

That's a pretty solid offensive resume for a traditional bottom-feeder like IU. Biggest take away is he can adapt his offense to his strengths.

Over 6 years, averaged the following: 76.1 plays / 441.0 ypg / 29.7 ppg. Those numbers might not appear particularly spectacular, but you have to look at it through INDIANA lenses. By comparison, 2015-16 tOSU averaged 72.3 plays / 446.7 ypg / 37.6 ppg. Those numbers are closer than they have any right being. You look at his most talented offenses (2013/15), he averaged upward of 80 plays, 500 yards and 36-38 ppg...again, at INDIANA. This guy would turn things around fast.

Geez... good work. So he's producing as many yards and is running more plays as osu with a fraction of the talent? Yes this will be cool
