Kevin Wilson (Former HC Tulsa)

Coach Wilson did a great job. Thinking that Toby is going to follow him.
Question now is who is going to replace him? A promotion of Frye? If we go outside Joe Brady might be a good fit. Maybe Lincoln Riley's brother?

I think it will come down to whether or not Day wants to continue calling plays. He’s going to have a tough time bringing in a star/rising OC that will be okay with not calling plays and coaching positions.

Austin Ward made a solid point that Day will want to keep/promote Keenan Bailey. So there could be a possibility of moving Bailey to TE, Frye to OC, and Day continues calling plays.

Will all come down to how aggressive Day wants to be with hiring and play calling next year. Especially if Alford ends up leaving too.

Where have you seen anything about Alford leaving, or even wanting to leave?

Pushing Alford out would be among the dumbest things this program could possibly do. We had 4 different RBs who were featured in at least one game who all looked incredibly capable and prepared. The guy who might be second or third best of that lot didn't even play all year and we even had a walk on who came in and looked capable and ready before he got hurt. At full health, he has a room that might legitimately be six deep. Pushing that out would be beyond dumb. Especially if you're simultaneously promoting a guy whose unit couldn't generate much of a push run blocking for those guys against capable defenses.

Wilson said one thing that helped him better juggle his time this month was Day’s emphasis on getting the planning part of the Ohio State game plan vs. Georgia together early.

“We’re very much, I think, ahead, as the players would tell you with the game plan, what’s going on, playing a challenging team with a lot of great athletes and a lot of stress they bring in their structure,” he said referring to Georgia’s vaunted defense. “But we’ve worked really hard to be ahead and give our kids a chance to go out and be aggressive and play well Saturday night.”

I AM IN THIS POSITION BECAUSE OF WHAT THESE GUYS HAVE DONE AND THE OBLIGATION. I SAID BACK IN THE PRESEASON ONE OF OUR GOALS WAS TO GET IN THIS GAME AND BE A PART OF THIS. AND WE WANT TO HAVE SUCCESS IN THIS GAME."– KEVIN WILSON

I like the fact that he stayed..... says a lot about a coach to want to take care of unfinished business....... but it does concern me that he's having to juggle his time between the 2. He has had recruiting and staffing issues to figure out at his new gig, not to mention all the moving and family arrangements that need to be decided as well.....all things that take him away from preparing for what UGA is going to bring on the 31st.
