It doesn't matter to me which team picks him up, as long as I can get him on my Fantasy Football roster.

True statement but I think they have more pressing needs along the offensive line.So do the Redskins.
How 'bout them Cowboys? Lucky for us, our trainers carry arthritis cream for Vinny.BuckeyeSkins said:True statement but I think they have more pressing needs along the offensive line.
First off he will be kicking off from the 30yd line now not the 35! You will not see as many Touchbacks from Nuge as you did in College. It's just different. The strongest leg in the NFL ("Jano") and that I've ever seen in person doesn't even get TB's all the time...don't expect Nuge to do that either!gost8 said:Another great advantage of picking NUUUUUGGG!!! All the kickoffs through the endzone. Makes it very difficult to run one back for decent field position when the ball is kicked into the stands. Good luck Mike and to all the seniors.
My only concern for Nuge that the NFL they screw with your mechanics...gost8 said:I am fully aware where he will be kicking off from in the NFL. When I said he will be kicking touchbacks in the NFL I didn't mean every single kick. A lot of Mike's kick go out of the endzone at the shoe. Being that the endzone is ten yards deep, backing him up five will still put that kick five or six yards deep. Also I have to believe that Nug will only get better (stronger) after working out in the NFL.

Knowing some fundamental rules of football...great
Being unaware that you are debating leg strength and kickoffs with a former NFL kicker ....PRICELESS
OK let me explain it better for you, so you can understand. It is like saying the great thing about this job is ALL the perks. It doesn't literally mean you get every perk that any job could offer. It simply means you get a lot of perks. Just as Mike kicked a lot of touchbacks. And I understand a lot about kicking also. (Not as much as whomever you are speaking of, but a lot) My brother in law is a guy who kicked at Purdue and then played for the Patriots. He had the NFL record for the longest punt for a long time. Anyways I was not trying to start a debate. I was just eluding to the fact I think Mike Nugent will be a fine pick up for any team who drafts him.MililaniBuckeye said:Then you'd better go find the guy who posted this under your moniker: "All the kickoffs through the endzone. "All kickoffs" pretty much means "every single kick" to me.
