Nugent hasn't missed at all inside the 40 while both Wellock and Jones have. Jones attempted but one kick over 50 yards (shows you how much confidence his coach has). While Wellock did hit his two attempts over 50 yards, Nugent has hit 5 of 6 from over 50 (and IIRC the one he missed was blocked). Nugent also has at least three kicks (53, 55, 55) farther than the farthest kicks of either Wellock or Jones, including the 55-yard last-second game-winner against Marshall.
