Justin Frye (OL Coach Arizona Cardinals)

Believe that Chip, Ryan and Frye all went into an office, and diagrammed out who could play and where. When Ryan and Chip were satisfied, they left the office with their OL lineup. It does show that some of the 2's/3's are serviceable, as indicated by their play. Thought Tegra was going to the pine, but didn't happen. Just wonder how much is ego (on part of coaches), that they selected a guy to start, and he bombed, but kept him in anyway. Dunno. Idle thought. Did notice that after Caleb dropped a punt, Inness came back in immediately. (or was it Ballard?)....
i think the captains and especially sawyer had a come-to-jesus talk with tegra.

I will go to my grave wondering why they couldn't find that office together back in November

No doubt in my mind Donovan and Seth had a CYJ meeting with ALL the OL folk. Many of these guys are looking at the Bigs next year, so this in effect is their 'money year'. Plus what they're pulling down in NIL $. do wonder if Frye had same meeting, and got shined on....called 'losing the room', believe. Whatever provided the spark, it seemed to work just fine. Let's keep that dog a rolling....

Keep in mind this is against the #1, undefeated team in CFB

MVP of this game (and really the back end of the schedule mostly) is Frye. I mean that sincerely. You have Simmons and McLaughlin down, yet we put together this OL that is out for blood. Siereveld is kicking ass like someone insulted his family, same goes for Montgomery. Hinzman at center is seamless. Tegra and Fryar are doing the job on the right.

If Frye can get these guys to whoop UT's DL...there is no question who our guy is on the trenches.

Need the low snaps cleaned up but I like the combination of scheme, playcalling and individual performance.

Some run blocking/yards have been tough at times and Howard gets pressured a few times but overall can’t complain with everything. Getting better as the games go, too.

I think that's just who Hinzman is and why they moved him off center. He struggles with the snap.

Keep scoring 30+ in the first half and it probably won't bite us.

Yeah we misses a few big runs just cause we missed the last block and the snaps were dicey there on a drive or two. But as a coach man we couldn't ask for more. We just need to hire some random staffer to go recruit for him apparently cause all his coaching up the last few years seems to have done nothing for him in recruiting

The million dollar question is what caused the drastic change on the play of the OL? These guys went from a group where we hoped for the best to the primary reason for our offense success. The attention to detail, the footwork, the intensity, the cohesion?

These guys look like the best OL in the country, just look at the screen play just before the half against Texas, this play never happens if any one of these OL guys takes a play off, that was a clinic tape of how to PERFECTLY run a screen.

The transformation of this OL has been nothing short of amazing, I would love to be a fly on the wall in those meetings, a lot of tough conversations and growth happening in a short period of time.
